AI agents for marketing teams in manufacturing

Actionist is an AI automation tool whose agents operate the apps your manufacturing marketing team already uses, taking you from hand-checking spec sheets and directory listings to drafts waiting for your approval.

Marketers at manufacturers get back the hours lost to literature upkeep, show prep and the monthly source report.

Where you spend your time

Why Manufacturing Marketing teams switch

We know how your week actually goes

What matters to you
  • Literature that matches the drawing
Spec sheets, line cards and capability statements are checked against current tolerances and certificates.
  • Found where buyers search
Thomasnet, GlobalSpec and Kompass profiles list the machines and processes you run today.
  • Shows planned, not scrambled
Exhibitor deadlines, booth invites and collateral lists are drafted weeks before the freight cut-off.
  • Distributors armed with current assets
Launch kits, logo packs and co-op claims are assembled from one folder, not forty emails.
  • Engineers who hear from you
A technical newsletter, design tips and webinar emails are drafted from what your estimators actually see.
  • Know which spend earned a quote
RFQ form sources and cost per show lead are tallied for the monthly review.

And hundreds of other tasks you do manually..

An agent can take a lot off your team's plate. Take a look below to see the time and cost you could save by adding AI agents to your Manufacturing Marketing team's day.

The problem

Where the hours go

  • A new alloy range or a revised drawing goes live in the shop, but the spec sheet, line card and Thomasnet profile still describe last year, so buyers quote from numbers you no longer hold.

An agent compares each sheet and directory entry with the released drawing list and drafts the corrections, leaving you to confirm the figures and approve the files.

  • A trade show lands on the calendar with an exhibitor portal deadline, a freight cut-off and a collateral print date, and the plan lives across three inboxes and one person memory.

An agent reads the organiser emails, builds one dated checklist and drafts the invites and listing text, so the show prep starts weeks ahead and you approve each piece.

  • Distributors keep asking for logos, images and the current certificate, and some are still advertising a discontinued part, because the assets sit in no single place.

An agent keeps one launch kit and brand pack current, drafts replies to asset requests, and lists distributor pages carrying outdated claims for you to chase.

  • Nobody can say whether a directory profile, a show or a webinar produced the last quote request, so the monthly report is a half day of guessing and budget follows habit.

An agent tags each quote form source, works out cost per show lead and assembles the monthly report, so you spend the meeting on where next quarter budget goes.

Triggers

Your Agent wakes up Automatically whenever something happens

Your agents watch the apps you already use and act the moment something happens, usually within about a minute, handle it based on your instructions, 24/7.

WhenA new certificate is saved to the quality folderfires within about a minute
The agent automatically

When quality saves a renewed ISO 9001 or AS9100 certificate, the agent reads the number and expiry within about a minute, finds each site page, line card and directory entry still showing the old one, and drafts the corrections. Edits are held for your approval before anything public changes.

What your agent runs for you

  • Manufacturing Marketing
    150 min / week
Keeping spec sheets and badges true

After each drawing revision someone opens PDFs one by one to compare tolerances, and the registrar certificate number is checked only when a buyer points out a mismatch.

    Manufacturing Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent drafts the correction when a revision releases

An agent compares each sheet with the released drawing list, lists every page quoting the old figure and holds the corrected files for engineering and your approval.

  • Manufacturing Marketing
    70 min / week
    Directory and plant profiles

A machine is commissioned and the Thomasnet profile still lists the old equipment months later, while the Google profile shows the wrong shutdown week.

    Manufacturing Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent compares each listing with the site sheet

An agent reads each directory and Google profile, drafts edits for every difference, and queues them for you because they are your public claims.

  • Manufacturing Marketing
    180 min / week
    Preparing a trade show

Portal deadlines, freight cut-off and print dates sit in separate emails, invites are written the week before, and the recap appears a month late if at all.

    Manufacturing Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent builds the dated checklist and drafts the pieces

An agent turns the organiser emails into one checklist, drafts invites, listing text and the recap, and holds every send for your approval.

  • Manufacturing Marketing
    110 min / week
    Supporting distributors

Requests for a logo or image arrive by email, are answered from whichever folder is nearest, and a discontinued part stays advertised on a distributor site for a year.

    Manufacturing Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent drafts replies from one kit and lists stale claims

An agent answers asset requests from the approved kit as drafts, builds co-op claim packs and lists distributor pages showing outdated parts for the channel manager.

  • Manufacturing Marketing
    130 min / week
Knowing which spend earned a quote

The monthly report is rebuilt by hand from analytics, the CRM and the expenses sheet, and a show is rebooked because the stand felt busy.

    Manufacturing Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent tags sources and builds the report

An agent records the source of each quote form, works out cost per show lead and assembles the monthly page, so the review is about decisions rather than collection.

Trust & control

You stay in control

Marketing agents write things buyers, engineers and distributors will read, and many of those words are technical claims. They earn a place only if a person holds the pen and the claims come from your own records.

Drafts wait for your approval

Newsletters, invites, press releases, listings and distributor replies are drafts. Nothing reaches a buyer, distributor or the public until you approve it, unless you widen that through Approval Modes.

Technical claims stay marked

Tolerances, certificate numbers, capacity and lead times are never invented. Where your records lack a figure, the draft leaves a visible gap for engineering or quality to fill.

A record of what it read

Each sheet compared, directory page read and rival page checked is logged with a time, so any draft can be traced back to what the agent saw.

Drawings and customer names stay yours

Customer names, drawings and pricing notes are encrypted and never used to train a model. If your customers require everything on your own server, you can self-host on a VPS.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does my manufacturing marketing team need to be technical?
No. You brief the agent the way you would brief a new marketing coordinator: which sheets to check, which shows to prepare, how the newsletter should sound. There is no code to write, and because the agent operates apps the way a person does, most tools need no API setup.
How do we get started with AI agents for manufacturing marketing?
Start with one job that eats a week each month, such as the spec sheet check against released drawings. Describe it in plain language, connect the product sheet and the shared drive, and hold every draft for approval. Once it behaves the way you would, add the show checklist or the monthly source report.
Can I build a custom agent for something specific to our shop?
Yes. The agents shown are examples, not limits. Describe your own job, such as a quarterly check of aerospace approvals on the website or a recall notice for a distributor list, and Actionist builds a custom agent for it with the apps it may use and the points where it must stop and ask.
How quickly can we set Actionist up for a manufacturing marketing team?
Most teams have a first agent running within a working day. Connect the product sheet, the shared drive and email, describe one job, and review the first drafts. Widening the list of jobs takes longer, because you decide how much to trust each one before it does more.
Will it publish or email anything to buyers and distributors without my approval?
Not unless you choose to allow it. By default every newsletter, invite, press release, listing edit and distributor reply is drafted and held for your approval. Approval Modes let you widen that for jobs you trust, and anything destructive always still asks.
Thomasnet, show portals and distributor sites have no API. Can it still work with them?
Yes. Actionist operates the screen the way a person does, so a directory profile, an exhibitor portal or a distributor page can be read and checked without any API. Computer use runs in the cloud, and every edit to a public listing is held for your approval.
How does it avoid putting a wrong tolerance or certificate number in our literature?
It only quotes figures found in your own drawing list, product sheet and registrar certificates, and it marks anything it cannot find as a gap. Coach it like you would a junior copywriter, and engineering or quality still checks the draft before it is published.
Our customer names and drawings are under NDA. Where does that data go?
Customer names, drawings and pricing notes stay in your own tools and are encrypted. They are never used to train a model, and every action the agent takes is logged. If your customers require it, you can self-host on a VPS so nothing leaves your infrastructure.
Is this meant to replace our marketing coordinator?
No. The agent takes the checking, collecting and first-draft work, and a person decides what goes out, which shows to book and where budget moves. Teams usually use the time for relationships with distributors and better technical content, not for typing sheets.
