AI agents for sales teams in IT services

Actionist is an AI automation tool whose agents operate the apps your MSP sales team already uses, from researching prospects and rebuilding proposals by hand to briefs, quotes and tender answers ready for review.

01

Where you spend your time

Why IT Services Sales teams switch

We know how your week actually goes

Selling managed IT is a long, document-heavy cycle: an enquiry, a discovery conversation about devices and compliance, a tiered proposal, often a security questionnaire, and then a contract that runs for years. Reps spend more of it on paperwork than on prospects.

Actionist agents work your CRM, your price book and your document templates beside the sales lead, so every enquiry is researched, every call is written up, and every proposal starts as a draft rather than a blank page.

What matters to you
  • Every enquiry researched and routed
A web form or partner referral gets a fit check and the right owner the same morning it lands.
  • Discovery calls that start prepared
Reps walk in with the prospect's stack, size and history, and the notes are written up when they hang up.
  • Proposals out while the prospect is warm
Tier, price and scope drafted from your price book so the quote is not the slowest part of the deal.
  • Tender bids you can afford to enter
Requirements broken down and questionnaires pre-filled from your approved answer bank before anyone decides to bid.
  • A pipeline you can forecast from
Stages, next steps and close dates stay current so Friday's number is not a guess.
  • More from the clients you already serve
Ageing hardware and missing security services surfaced as opportunities, not found by accident.

And hundreds of other tasks you do manually..

An agent can take a lot off your team's plate. Take a look below to see the time and cost you could save by adding AI agents to your IT Services Sales team's day.

The problem

Where the hours go

  • An enquiry arrives on the website form and sits until a rep has time to Google the company, guess its headcount, and work out who supports its IT today, by which point the prospect has already spoken to two other MSPs.

An agent reads each enquiry within about a minute, researches the firm, checks the CRM for history, and gives the rep a fit score, an owner and a drafted first reply to approve.

  • Every proposal is rebuilt from the last one: tier picked by feel, per-user pricing recalculated, hardware prices looked up on a distributor site, and terms pasted from three older documents.

An agent picks the tier from your price book, prices the quote, pulls current distributor costs, and assembles the proposal from your template for the account manager to review and approve.

  • A tender or security questionnaire lands with 140 questions and a deadline, and the sales lead spends two days answering what was answered last month before they can even decide whether to bid.

An agent breaks the document into a requirements checklist, pre-fills answers from the ones you have approved before, flags every gap, and drafts the bid or no-bid summary for your decision.

  • The CRM is only as current as the last time a rep updated it, so Friday's forecast is built by chasing people on Slack for what moved, which deals have no next step, and what the close dates really are.

An agent sweeps the CRM daily for stale opportunities, drafts the nudge to each rep, and builds the weekly pipeline report so the forecast starts from current data.

Triggers

Your Agent wakes up Automatically whenever something happens

Your agents watch the apps you already use and act the moment something happens, usually within about a minute, handle it based on your instructions, 24/7.

WhenA website enquiry or partner introduction arrivesfires within about a minute
The agent automatically

When a form submission or a partner email lands, the agent reads it within about a minute, looks up the company, checks the CRM for earlier contact, and writes a fit score and a proposed owner on the lead. The first reply is drafted and left in the owner's drafts, so nothing reaches the prospect until a person has approved it.

Trust & control

You stay in control

Sales work puts words in front of prospects and clients under your name, so the agent only earns trust if you control what leaves. Every email, proposal and questionnaire answer is a draft until a person approves it, and every action is logged.

Nothing reaches a prospect unapproved

Replies, follow-ups, proposals and questionnaire answers are drafted and queued for the owner. They go out only when a person sends or approves them, unless you deliberately widen that autonomy.

Your team makes the commercial calls

Pricing, discounts, bid or no-bid, and contract terms stay with the account manager and sales lead. The agent prepares the figures and the options, then waits for the decision.

Approve from Telegram or Slack

Draft replies and approval requests arrive in Telegram or Slack with the draft attached. One tap approves or sends it back, so deals do not stall waiting for someone to sit at a desk.

Every step is logged and your data stays yours

Each run records what the agent read and drafted, with screenshots. Prospect, client and pricing data stay encrypted, are never used to train models, and you can self-host for full isolation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does my IT services sales team need to be technical to use Actionist?
No. Actionist is built for sales people, not developers. You describe how you qualify enquiries, tier your services and write proposals in plain language, connect the apps you already use, and the agent follows that process. There is no code to write, and for tools with no integration the agent operates the screen the way a person would.
How do I get started with a sales agent for my MSP?
Book a free demo and an Actionist team member will walk through the sales job that costs you most, whether that is enquiry research, proposal drafting or tender questionnaires. You test a working agent against your own CRM and price book before you decide anything.
How do I make customised AI agents for the way we sell managed services?
Tell the agent which job it owns, which apps it works in, and which steps need a person's approval. A proposal agent gets your tiers, price book and terms template; a tender agent gets your approved answer bank. It follows those rules each run, and you change them whenever your offer changes.
How quickly can I set Actionist up for sales?
A single agent, such as the morning enquiry triage that researches a lead and drafts the first reply, can be running within hours of your demo. A longer chain like proposal drafting from the CRM, price book and distributor costs usually takes a few days of testing against past quotes before you trust it.
Is prospect, client and pricing data safe with Actionist?
Your prospect lists, client records and price book stay yours. Everything is encrypted, none of it is used to train AI models, and every action the agent takes is logged in an audit trail you can review. If you need everything on your own infrastructure, you can self-host Actionist on a VPS.
Our PSA, CRM add-in or tender portal has no API. Can an agent still use it?
Yes. Using computer use in the cloud, the agent opens the tool the way your sales team does, reads the screen and enters data field by field. That covers a PSA with no integration or a council tender portal. It runs in the cloud, where those tools are already signed in.
Will the agent email a prospect or send a proposal without me seeing it first?
No. Replies, follow-ups, proposals and questionnaire answers are drafted and left for the owner to review in their drafts, Slack or Telegram. They are sent only after a person approves, and you can widen that autonomy for low-risk steps once you trust them. Anything client-facing asks first.
Can the agent set prices, offer a discount or decide whether we bid on a tender?
No. Those are your commercial decisions. The agent prices a quote from your price book as a draft, summarises a tender with the cost to bid and the requirements you cannot meet, and waits. The account manager or sales lead decides and the agent drafts whatever follows.
Can it fill in a security questionnaire truthfully?
It only answers from responses your team has already approved, and it marks any question with no approved answer as a gap for your security lead instead of guessing. Nothing is submitted until a person has reviewed every answer, so the questionnaire reflects what you actually do.
