AI workforce for Interior Design Sales

AI agents for sales teams in interior design

Actionist is an AI automation tool whose agents operate the apps your interior design studio already uses, from retyping enquiries into HoneyBook to proposals drafted, tracked, and chased for you.

Design studios get back the hours lost to enquiry triage, proposal rebuilds, and unsigned-letter chasing.

Where you spend your time

Why Interior Design Sales teams switch

We know how your week actually goes

What matters to you
  • Enquiries scored against your minimums
Budget, scope, and location are checked before a designer spends time on a lead.
  • Discovery calls that start prepared
A one-page note with the brief, board, and questionnaire answers waits for the designer.
  • Fee proposals drafted from the call
The right fee model and phases are filled in, then held for the principal's sign-off.
  • A pipeline you can read on Monday
Every lead has a stage, a next step, and a reason when it is lost.
  • Referral partners who feel thanked
Architects, builders, and realtors hear back about every client they send.
  • Past clients remembered
A finished kitchen today is the second-home brief in two years. Built around your studio.

And hundreds of other tasks you do manually..

An agent can take a lot off your team's plate. Take a look below to see the time and cost you could save by adding AI agents to your Interior Design Sales team's day.

The problem

Where the hours go

  • Enquiries from Houzz Pro, Instagram, and referral emails pile up between client meetings, and the studio that answers first books the call.

An agent reads each one, scores it against your budget floor and scope, and drafts the reply and call slots for a designer to approve.

  • Every fee proposal is rebuilt from the last one, and a stale client name or room list slips through at least once a quarter.

An agent drafts each proposal from the discovery notes and your fee-model wording, then holds it for the principal before anything goes out.

  • Signed letters stall because nobody noticed the proposal had been open for eleven days, and nobody wrote down why the last one was lost.

An agent tracks signature status, drafts a nudge for approval, and records the lost reason, so the pipeline tells the truth.

  • The architect who sent you three clients last year has heard nothing since, and a finished project's owner is quietly planning a second home.

An agent keeps a referral and past-client list, drafts the thank-yous and check-ins, and leaves the relationship to the principal.

Triggers

Your Agent wakes up Automatically whenever something happens

Your agents watch the apps you already use and act the moment something happens, usually within about a minute, handle it based on your instructions, 24/7.

WhenA prospect messages the studio on Houzz Profires within about a minute
The agent automatically

When a new Houzz Pro message arrives, the agent reads it in the cloud within about a minute, checks the stated project against your minimum and location, and drafts a warm first reply with two consultation slots. It logs the lead to the client record. The reply waits for a designer's approval before it goes out.

What your agent runs for you

  • Enquiry intake
    270 min / week
    Triaging the enquiry inbox

Someone reads every form, Houzz Pro message, and referral email between meetings, guesses which are worth a call, and types a reply to each.

    Enquiry intake Agent
    0 min
    Agent scores and drafts replies

An agent ranks each enquiry against your minimum project size and drafts the reply and call times, waiting for a designer to approve.

  • Discovery calls
    100 min / week
    Preparing for each call

A designer opens the enquiry, the questionnaire, and the client's Pinterest board separately and tries to remember what matters before dialling in.

    Discovery calls Agent

    Agent writes the prep note

An agent assembles brief, answers, board, and open questions into one page placed in the designer's Slack before the call.

  • Fee proposals
    270 min / week
    Rebuilding a proposal

A designer copies the last project's proposal, changes rooms, fee model, and phases, and re-reads it hoping no old client name survives.

    Fee proposals Agent

Agent drafts from the call notes

An agent drafts the proposal from discovery notes using the studio's own fee wording and holds it for the principal to set the final fee.

  • Follow-up

    Chasing unsigned letters

Someone scrolls the pipeline, finds proposals open for days, and writes the same nudge in slightly different words for each.

    Follow-up Agent

    Agent drafts the right nudge

An agent checks signature status, picks a nudge to fit each prospect, and queues each one for a designer's approval.

  • Referral partners
    80 min / week
    Keeping track of referrers

Nobody counts which architect or builder sent what, so thank-yous are patchy and quiet partners are noticed a year late.

Trust & control

You stay in control

A sales agent reads your enquiries and drafts words that carry your name, so you need to see and approve what reaches a prospect. Actionist is built so the designer stays the voice and the decision-maker on every client-facing message.

Every prospect reply is a draft

Replies, call invitations, and proposal covers are drafted and held for a designer's approval before they reach a prospective client.

You choose the autonomy per task

Keep fee proposals on Suggest while letting trusted internal jobs, like logging a source, run on Guarded auto.

Approve from Telegram or Slack

A reply, a call hold, or a nudge can be approved with one tap from the site visit, the showroom, or the train.

Fees and take-on stay human

The agent prepares options and numbers. Whether to take a project and what to charge is always a person's call.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does my interior design sales team need to be technical to use Actionist?
No. Actionist is built for designers and studio managers, not developers. You describe how enquiries and proposals move through your studio in plain language, connect the apps you already use, and an agent does the repeat work. Most design software has no public connector anyway, and the agent works the app the way a person would, with no code.
How do I get started with a sales agent for my design studio?
Pick one job you repeat, such as scoring new enquiries or drafting fee proposals, and describe it as you would to a new studio assistant. Connect Gmail, HoneyBook or your CRM, and your calendar, set the agent to Suggest so it drafts and you approve, and watch it work for a week. Studios usually add a second job once the first feels right.
How do I make a custom agent for how our studio sells?
Describe the task, your rules, and the apps involved. If you quote differently for a hotel than for a family home, or always ask for a Pinterest board first, say so in the brief and the agent follows it. The agents on this page are examples. You can build one for any job your studio repeats and refine it as you learn.
How quickly can I set up a sales agent?
A first useful agent, such as enquiry scoring, can usually be running the same day, because setup is connecting your inbox and CRM and describing your minimum project size and tone. Fee proposals take a little longer because the agent needs your fee wording and phase templates. Plan an afternoon for each job and a week to tune.
Where does our client data live, and is it used to train AI models?
Your credentials sit in an encrypted vault, agent memory stays on your own machine, and you can self-host Actionist on your own server. Client budgets, addresses, and signed contracts are only read by the agents you connect, and every run is logged step by step so you can see what was read and done.
Our enquiries land in Houzz Pro and a CRM with no integration, will an agent still work?
Yes. Where an app has no connector, the agent operates the screen the way a person does: opening the Houzz Pro inbox, reading a message, and logging it in HoneyBook. Screen automation runs in the cloud, so the computer needs to be on while the job runs. That is how most studio tools get reached.
Will it ever email a prospect without me seeing it first?
Not unless you widen its autonomy. By default every reply, call invitation, and proposal cover is a draft waiting for a designer's approval, and you can approve from Telegram or Slack with one tap. Approval Modes let you loosen trusted internal jobs, like source tagging, while client-facing messages stay on approval. Destructive actions always ask first.
Can it decide who we take on or what we charge?
No. The agent prepares: it scores the enquiry against the minimums you set, drafts a proposal with your fee wording, and lays out fee-model options. Whether to take a project, what to charge, and how to word the terms are decisions for a designer or the principal. Contract and legal questions go to your counsel.
Many of our prospects phone the studio. Does the agent handle calls?
No. The agent does not answer or place calls and does not listen to audio. If your phone app, such as JustCall or CallRail, posts voicemail transcripts or a call log, the agent can read that text, log a possible lead, and tell a designer in Slack. A person always rings the prospect back.
