Where you spend your time

Why Salons & Spas Founders & Executives teams switch

We know how your week actually goes

What matters to you
  • Know which chairs are really earning
Revenue per chair hour and rebooking by stylist and site, read from the booking system every week.
  • Price changes backed by margin
Each service is costed against product and minutes before the January or September price review.
  • Equipment decisions with a payback sheet
A laser, LED bed or refit is modelled on your own takings, so the choice is made on numbers.
  • No renewal date sneaks up on you
Rent review, rebate tiers and supplier terms are diaried with a short brief ahead of each date.
  • A diary built around the chair
Briefs for the bank, accountant and brand rep arrive where you will see them between clients.
  • Shaped to your group
These are starting points. Build a custom agent for whatever your leadership team repeats.

And hundreds of other tasks you do manually..

An agent can take a lot off your team's plate. Take a look below to see the time and cost you could save by adding AI agents to your Salons & Spas Founders & Executives team's day.

The problem

Where the hours go

  • Monday starts with a hunt: takings from one booking export, utilisation from another, and a text from each site manager, so by the time the picture is clear the week's decisions have been made on instinct.

An agent reads the booking system and till every Friday, builds revenue per chair hour and rebooking by stylist, and flags the columns worth a conversation before you sit down.

  • The price list has not moved since last January because testing whether a rise would hold means costing every service by hand, so margin quietly shrinks as colour and consumable costs creep up.

An agent costs each service against product and minutes, models a rise across the menu, and hands you the numbers, so the price decision is yours and the arithmetic is done.

  • The rent review, the brand rebate tier and a machine finance deal each have a date, each in a different inbox, and the first you hear of one is the letter that arrives after the deadline.

An agent diaries every renewal, summarises the terms, and puts a short brief in front of you weeks ahead, so you negotiate before the date, not after it.

  • A client posts that a treatment left a mark, a manager mentions it on Thursday, and the owner reads the full story on Saturday, long after the review has been read by everyone.

An agent spots the words in new reviews and tagged posts that point to a burn or reaction, and puts the original message in front of you untouched, so you decide what happens next.

Triggers

Your Agent wakes up Automatically whenever something happens

Your agents watch the apps you already use and act the moment something happens, usually within about a minute, handle it based on your instructions, 24/7.

WhenA column's booked hours fall well below its usual levelfires within about a minute
The agent automatically

When the booking system shows a stylist's coming week booked well under their usual level, the agent notices within about a minute of the update and posts the days affected, the hours open, and how this week compares with the last four. It offers no explanation of why. You decide whether to push promotions, move a stylist, or leave it.

Trust & control

You stay in control

An agent that reads your takings, supplier terms, and complaint records only earns trust if you stay in control. Actionist is built so you see everything it touched, approve anything that reaches a manager, supplier, or client, and make every business decision yourself.

Pricing, spend, and strategy are your decisions

The agent reads, costs, and prepares. Whether to raise prices, buy a machine, open a site, or switch supplier always stays with you.

Outside messages wait for your approval

Replies, nudges, and notices are drafted first and queued for your sign-off. Nothing goes out on its own unless you widen that autonomy yourself.

Serious matters reach you untouched

A review or post mentioning a burn or reaction is passed to you in its original words. The agent never judges the claim, contacts the insurer, or replies.

Your figures and files stay yours

Takings, margins, leases, and incident files are encrypted and never used to train a model. Self-host on a VPS if everything must stay on your own infrastructure.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do salon founders and executives need to be technical to use Actionist?
No. Actionist is built for salon and spa owners, not developers. You describe in plain language how you read your chair numbers, review prices, and track renewals, connect the apps you already use, and the agent follows those steps. There is no code to write, and for most tools nothing to configure through an API, because the agent operates the apps the way a person would.
How do I get started with an executive agent for my salon group?
Book a free demo and an Actionist team member will walk through your biggest owner-level time sink, whether that is the Monday chair read, price reviews, or renewal dates, and set up a working example you can test against your own booking and till exports. Most owners have a first agent running within a day of the demo.
How do I make customised AI agents for how I run my salons?
You describe the agent's job, the apps it reads, and your approval rules for each action. For the chair read you tell it which figures matter and what counts as a thin column; for renewals you give it your notice periods. The agent applies those rules every run, and you adjust them as the business changes.
How quickly can I set an owner-level agent up?
A simple agent, such as one that builds the Friday chair summary from your booking export and posts it to Slack, can be running within hours of your demo. Longer chains, like a price model that reads supplier notices and updates the cost sheet, usually take one to three days of testing against a copy of your files before they touch anything live.
Where do our takings, leases, and incident records live, and are they used to train AI models?
Your takings, margins, leases and incident files stay yours. Everything the agent reads and writes is encrypted, none of it is used to train a model, and every action is recorded in an audit trail. If everything needs to sit on your own infrastructure, you can self-host Actionist on a VPS.
Our booking system, till, and landlord portal have no API. Can an agent still use them?
Usually yes. The agent operates the screen like a person, opening the booking system, the till back office or a landlord portal, reading what is there, and entering only what you approve. Where a clean connection exists, such as Boulevard or Square, it uses that. You do not wait for an integration to be built.
Will it set my prices or approve a purchase?
No. The agent costs the menu, models scenarios, and builds payback sheets, but a price, a machine purchase, a refit, or a new site is always your decision. It shows its assumptions in the open so you can change them, and anything irreversible always asks first.
Will it contact my landlord, my brand rep, or my insurer?
Only as drafts for your approval, and never to the insurer. It can prepare a reply to a landlord or a rep and queue it for you, and it can assemble the details an insurer form asks for from an incident file, but you complete and send everything. Nothing reaches an outside party unless you approve it.
Does it work for a single salon as well as a group?
Yes. A single-site owner gets the chair read, price and margin review, and renewal diary just as a multi-site group does, with one site in the comparison instead of several. As you add sites, the same agents compare them side by side. Your agents run on your organisation's Actionist cloud machine, so nothing needs to stay open on your side.
