Where you spend your time

Your time is money

We know how your week actually goes

Most small law firms are not short on work; they are short on time for it. Client intake, conflict checks, document drafts, billing admin, and deadline tracking fill the week before a lawyer reaches the matters that need their judgement.

Actionist builds AI agents for Law Firms that handle the operational work, so your lawyers and paralegals can focus on clients and cases.

What matters to you
  • Speed to intake
The first firm to respond to an enquiry usually wins the client.
  • Conflict checks, same day
A conflict found early keeps a matter from stalling.
  • Documents ready to review
A draft in the queue is better than a blank page after a long day.
  • Deadlines never missed
A statute of limitations or court date cannot be negotiated.
  • Billing that stays current
Time recorded the day it happens is time you can actually bill.
  • Built around your practice
These are examples. Build a custom agent for any job your team repeats.

And hundreds of other tasks you do manually..

An agent can take a lot off your team's plate. Take a look below to see the time and cost you could save by adding AI agents to your Law Firms team's day.

Triggers and Reactions

Your Agent wakes up Automatically whenever something happens

WhenA new client enquiry landsfires within about a minute
The agent automatically

The moment a new enquiry arrives by email or intake form, the agent reads it within about a minute, qualifies the matter type and urgency, checks the right lawyer's calendar, and drafts a warm first reply offering a consultation time. Every message waits for your approval before it reaches the prospect. The first firm to respond usually wins the instruction.

Trust & control

You stay in control

An AI agent works inside your real legal systems and client files, so staying in control is not optional. Actionist is built for supervised operation: you decide how much each agent does on its own, you approve every client-facing output, and every step is recorded.

You set the supervision

Choose how much each agent does on its own, from drafting for your approval to handling trusted routine work. Anything irreversible always asks first, and that cannot be turned off.

Approve from your phone

Agents reach you on Telegram or Slack, so you approve a draft or redirect a task with one tap from anywhere.

Every run is logged

Each run is recorded step by step, with screenshots and a full transcript, so you can see exactly what the agent read and did.

Your data stays yours

Credentials are encrypted in a vault and never shown again, memory stays on your own machine, and you can self-host Actionist on your own server.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will it draft documents that are actually usable, or will I spend more time fixing them than writing them myself?
The agent prepares a first draft from the facts in the matter file and your firm's template, so the lawyer starts with a structured, complete document rather than a blank page. It is not generating legal advice; it is doing the assembly work. The lawyer reviews every draft and approves it before anything goes to a client or court. Most practices find the review is faster than starting from scratch, which is the point. The quality depends on the template and the facts it is given, and you teach it your preferred style once.
Our practice management software has no integration. Will it still work with our system?
Yes. Actionist operates your tools the way a paralegal does, by reading the screen and clicking, typing, and navigating, so it reaches software with no API at all: your practice management system, court filing portals, and any system your team logs into. Where an app offers a clean connection it uses it; where it does not, the desktop agent works the screen. You do not need to wait for an integration to be built. Screen automation runs on the desktop app.
Will it send anything to a client without a lawyer seeing it first?
Not unless you have explicitly set it to. By default every reply, status update, and document is drafted and waits for a lawyer to review and approve. Approval Modes let you choose how much supervision each agent runs with, from suggest, to ask each time, to a guarded auto for trusted routine tasks. Anything that goes to a client is always treated as a client-facing output that requires approval; that floor cannot be turned off. Agents reach you on Telegram or Slack, so you can approve or redirect with one tap from anywhere.
What happens to enquiries that come in outside office hours?
On the desktop app an agent works while the app is open. To cover evenings and weekends unattended, you move that agent to the hosted cloud runtime on a paid plan and it keeps reading enquiries and drafting replies while your laptop is closed. You remain in approval mode either way, so nothing reaches a prospective client without the sign-off you have set. The first firm to respond usually wins the client.
Is this replacing paralegals?
No. It takes the admin away, not the legal judgement. The work it removes is the part of the week that everyone already resents: drafting from templates, filing documents, chasing signatures, logging time entries, and tracking deadlines. Give that to an agent and your paralegals and associates spend their hours on the work that requires a legal mind and billable skill. A small practice ends up with the output of a much larger one without adding headcount.
Can I build an agent for the specific workflows our practice uses?
Yes. The teams and jobs shown on this page are starting points. You can build a custom AI agent for any task your practice repeats: tracking every statute of limitations across your matters, preparing discovery document lists, running the new client intake from your intake form, chasing unsigned retainer agreements, or drafting the weekly partner report from your billing data. You describe the job in plain English, tell it which apps to use and when to run, and it handles that work on a schedule or when something triggers it.
Our clients share sensitive information. How is their data protected?
Your data stays yours. Credentials are encrypted in a vault and never shown again after setup. The agent's memory of how your practice works stays on your own machine and is never used to train models. Every action an agent takes is logged step by step with screenshots, so you can see exactly what it read and did with a client's file. If you need everything to stay on your own infrastructure, you can self-host Actionist on your own server.
We are a small firm with no IT person. How hard is this to set up?
No code is required, and most firms have their first agent working the same day. You brief an agent the way you would brief a new paralegal, in plain English. Connecting an app like Gmail or DocuSign is a guided click-and-approve step that takes about a minute. The agent starts in draft mode, so you review every output before it does anything. Once it has earned your trust on the routine tasks you hand over more, at your own pace.
Is this worth it for a small boutique firm?
It is built to pay for itself in billable hours recovered. A single agent typically lifts several hours of admin off each fee earner per week, hours that can go back to billable work or to the matters that actually need their attention. The intake speed alone tends to win clients that went cold before anyone replied. What you pay scales with how many agents you run and whether any run unattended in the cloud. Most firms start with one agent on their biggest time-sink and add more as they see what it saves. Book a free demo and we will run it on a real task from your practice.
