Where you spend your time

Your time is money

We know how your week actually goes

Most logistics and freight teams are not short on loads; they are short on visibility. Shipment exceptions, carrier updates, delivery windows, proof-of-delivery, and customer notifications fill every hour of the day.

Actionist builds AI agents for logistics that handle your digital work, so your team can focus on moving freight and keeping customers happy.

Triggers and Reactions

Your Agent wakes up Automatically whenever something happens

WhenA shipment exception is detectedfires within about a minute
The agent automatically

The moment a delay alert, damage notice, or missed milestone appears in the tracking feed, the agent catches it within about a minute, logs the exception against the shipment record in your tracking sheet, and drafts a proactive customer notification in your voice. Every message waits for your one-pass approval before it reaches the shipper or consignee, so your customers hear from you before they have to call.

What your agent runs for you

  • Operations
    120 min / week
    Triaging shipment exceptions

Dispatchers log into carrier portals one by one, read each alert, decide what to do, and manually notify the customer, often hours after the exception was first raised.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent flags and notifies within about a minute

An agent monitors tracking feeds on a schedule, flags each exception within about a minute of detection, and drafts the customer notification for one-pass approval.

  • Admin & Front Office
    90 min / week
    Chasing and filing proof-of-delivery

A coordinator chases each carrier individually for signed POD documents, waits for replies, and manually renames and uploads each one to the correct record.

    Admin & Front Office Agent
    0 min
Agent chases, receives, and files automatically

An agent identifies missing POD after each delivery, drafts the chase to the carrier, and files each received document against the correct shipment record automatically.

  • Finance
    90 min / week
    Raising freight invoices

A billing coordinator raises invoices in batches, calculating accessorial charges by hand and chasing shippers for payment manually.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent invoices on delivery, chases on schedule

An agent drafts the freight invoice the moment a delivery is confirmed, applies accessorial charges from the rate sheet, and runs the AR chase on a schedule.

  • Finance
    75 min / week
    Reconciling carrier invoices

A finance coordinator compares each carrier's invoice against the contracted rate manually, line by line, to find billing errors before authorising payment.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
    Agent matches and flags discrepancies

An agent reads each carrier invoice, matches every line to the contracted rate, and posts a flagged discrepancy report so the team only reviews the exceptions.

  • Customer Support
    120 min / week
Answering 'where is my shipment?' calls

Support staff field the same tracking query dozens of times a day, checking the TMS manually for each one and typing individual replies.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent answers from live tracking data

An agent reads live shipment status from the tracking sheet, drafts a factual update in your voice, and queues it for approval so tracking queries are handled without a human checking the TMS each time.

Trust & control

You stay in control

An AI agent working in your freight systems touches live shipment records, customer data, and financial documents, so staying in control is not optional. Actionist is built to be supervised: you decide how much each agent does on its own, every customer message waits for your approval, and every step is logged.

You set the supervision

Choose how much each agent does on its own, from drafting for approval to handling trusted routine work. Anything destructive, like cancelling a booking or deleting a record, always asks first. That cannot be turned off.

Approve from your phone

Agents reach you on Telegram or Slack, so you approve a customer notification or a carrier booking with one tap, from wherever you are on the road.

Every run is logged

Each run is recorded step by step, with screenshots and a full transcript, so you can see exactly what the agent read and did with a shipment or a customer record.

Your data stays yours

Credentials are encrypted in a vault and never shown again, the agent's memory of how your operation works stays on your own machine, and you can self-host Actionist on your own server.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Will it actually catch our shipment exceptions fast enough to notify customers before they call us?
Yes, and speed is the whole point. The agent monitors your tracking feeds and carrier portals on a schedule and flags each exception within about a minute of it appearing, whether that is a delay alert, a missed milestone, or a damage notice. It then drafts a proactive customer notification in your voice and queues it for your approval, so you reach the shipper or consignee before they have to chase. You teach it your tone and your escalation criteria once, and until you trust it every message waits for your sign-off.
We use carrier portals and a TMS that have no public API. Will this still work with those tools?
Almost certainly. Actionist operates your tools the way a dispatcher does, by reading the screen and clicking, typing, and navigating, so it reaches software with no API at all: your carrier portal back-offices, your TMS, the load board platform your team already uses. Where an app offers a clean connection it uses it; where it does not, the desktop agent simply works the screen, with your approval. You do not rip anything out or wait for an integration to be built. Screen automation runs on the desktop app.
Will it send a message to a shipper or carrier without me seeing it first?
Not unless you decide it should. By default every delay notification, rate proposal, and carrier chase is drafted and waits for your approval. Approval Modes let you move at your own pace, from suggest, to ask each time, to a guarded auto for trusted routine jobs, and anything irreversible like cancelling a load booking or deleting a record always asks first, which cannot be turned off. Agents reach you on Telegram or Slack, so you can approve or reword with one tap from wherever you are.
What happens to overnight exceptions and weekend shipments that need attention?
Overnight exceptions are where delayed notifications cost the most. On the desktop app an agent works while the app is open. To cover nights and weekends unattended, you move that agent to the hosted cloud runtime on a paid plan and it keeps watching tracking feeds, flagging exceptions, and drafting notifications while your desktop is off. You stay in approval mode either way, so nothing reaches a customer without the sign-off you have set.
Is this going to replace our dispatchers and coordinators?
No. It takes over the administrative grind, not the decisions. The work it removes is the part of the week that dispatchers already resent: logging into a dozen carrier portals one by one, chasing POD documents, re-keying order data, and typing the same delay email for the tenth time. Hand that to an agent and your team focuses on the calls that need judgment, re-routing a critical load, negotiating a rate, or resolving a shipper complaint where only a person can manage the relationship.
Can I build an agent around the way our operation actually works, not just the examples here?
Yes. The teams and jobs shown on this page are a starting point, not the limit. You can build a custom AI agent for logistics around any task your team repeats: monitoring temperature excursions on reefer loads, tracking driver hours against HOS limits, chasing customs clearance updates, running the fuel surcharge update each week, or preparing the carrier scorecard for your quarterly review. You describe the job in plain English, tell it which apps to use and when to run, and it handles that work on a schedule or when something triggers it.
Is our shipper and carrier data kept private?
Your data stays yours. Credentials are encrypted in a vault and never shown again, the agent's memory of how your operation works stays on your own machine, and your data is never used to train models. Every action an agent takes is logged step by step with screenshots, so you can see exactly what it read and did with a shipment record or a customer's details. If you need everything to stay on your own infrastructure, you can self-host Actionist on your own server.
Does our team need to be technical, and how fast can we be up and running?
No code, and most teams have their first agent working the same day. If you can brief a new dispatcher, you can brief an agent: you describe the job in plain English. Connecting an app like your tracking sheet or email inbox is a guided click-and-approve step that takes about a minute. The agent can start flagging exceptions or chasing POD as soon as its apps are linked. You keep it in approval mode while you build trust, then hand over the routine work once it has earned it.
What does it cost, and will it pay for itself for a small freight operation?
It is built to pay for itself in hours back. A single agent typically removes a dozen or more hours of admin per person each week, and catching a single missed delivery window notification before a shipper calls can protect a relationship worth far more than the tool's cost. What you pay scales with how many agents you run and whether any run unattended in the cloud. Most operations start with one agent on their biggest time-sink, whether that is exception tracking, POD chasing, or invoice reconciliation, and add more as it proves out. Book a free demo and we will map the time and cost it would save on a real week of your loads.
