Eliminates manual work. Agents eliminate the manual design cycle — reading template editors, filling in content, exporting graphics, and uploading them downstream — that teams currently run for every blog post, product update, deal close, and internal communication.

Blog post to LinkedIn carousel and header in one step

When a blog post is published in Notion, the agent extracts the key takeaways and calls Generate Carousel (1-Click) to produce a LinkedIn-ready multi-slide PDF, then calls Generate Graphic (1-Click) for the branded header image. Both assets are uploaded to Google Drive and posted to the #content Slack channel for the marketer to schedule — the entire visual production step is eliminated.

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    90 min / week
    Manual graphic creation per deal

Reps or marketers manually open Canva or Contentdrips, fill in the customer name and details, export the carousel, and upload it to the CRM — 30 to 45 minutes of design work per closed deal.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent generates branded sales visuals on deal events

When a deal closes in HubSpot, the agent reads the details, calls Generate Carousel (1-Click), and attaches the finished case study carousel to the deal record — all before the rep has finished typing the congratulations email.

  • Marketing
    120 min / week
    Manual blog-to-carousel repurposing

The marketing team manually reads each blog post, rewrites the key points into slide copy, opens Contentdrips, builds the carousel slide by slide, exports the PDF, and uploads it to the scheduling tool.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent converts blog posts to carousels automatically

When a post publishes in Notion, the agent extracts the key points, calls Generate Carousel (1-Click), and posts the finished LinkedIn carousel to the content Slack channel within about a minute.

  • Customer Support
    60 min / week
    Manual help graphic creation

Support managers manually identify common questions, write the tip copy, open a design tool, create each graphic, export it, and upload it to the knowledge base — a process that takes 20 to 30 minutes per card.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent creates help-tip cards from ticket data

The support agent reads the top support questions from the ticketing system, generates a branded help-tip card for each, and adds them to the knowledge base — the entire process runs without any manual design step.

  • Human Resources
    40 min / week
    Manual HR visual content creation

HR staff manually design welcome graphics and job-post visuals for each new hire in a design tool, export them, and upload to Slack and LinkedIn — around 20 minutes of design work per employee event.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent generates welcome carousels and job post graphics on new hires

When a new hire is confirmed, the agent generates a welcome carousel for Slack and a branded job-post graphic for the open backfill simultaneously — both assets ready before HR has finished updating the HRIS.

  • Finance
    60 min / week
Manual financial graphic and deck production

Finance staff manually pull the numbers, open a design tool or slide deck, fill in each metric, export the PDF, upload it to Drive, and email it — typically one to two hours of non-finance work per reporting cycle.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent generates KPI cards and investor carousels from live data

When month-end figures land in Google Sheets, the agent generates the KPI card and full investor update PDF carousel automatically, uploading both to Google Drive and emailing the board — design is eliminated from the reporting process.

  • Operations
    90 min / week
    Manual SOP visual summary creation

Ops staff manually extract the key steps from each SOP, rebuild them as slides in a presentation tool or Contentdrips, export the PDF, and upload it alongside the document — typically 30 to 60 minutes per SOP.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent creates process carousels from approved SOPs

When a new SOP is approved in Notion, the agent builds the carousel from the process headings, generates the PDF via Contentdrips, and attaches it directly to the Notion page — the visual summary appears the moment the document is signed off.

  • Legal
    30 min / week
    Manual compliance visual production

Legal staff draft the notice, send the copy to the design team, wait for a turnaround, review, request revisions, and finally distribute — a multi-day design cycle for what should be a same-day communication.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent produces compliance notice and policy graphics automatically

When a compliance notice is scheduled for distribution, the agent generates a branded notice card and policy carousel PDF in one step and adds both to the internal comms queue — legal communications go out on time with no design dependency.

How to plug Contentdrips into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

Contentdrips authenticates via a Bearer API token. Generate the token in your Contentdrips API Management page and paste it into Actionist — authentication is confirmed with a live test call before any rendering jobs are submitted.

1
Open API Management

Log in to Contentdrips and go to app.contentdrips.com/api-management.

2
Generate and copy your API token

Click Generate Token. Copy the token immediately — it will not be shown again. Store it in a secrets manager.

3
Paste into Actionist and test

Paste the token into the API token field in Actionist and click Test connection. Actionist calls the /api/validate-token endpoint to confirm the credential is active.

FAQs

Questions about Contentdrips + Actionist

How do I connect Actionist to Contentdrips?
Go to the Apps tab, find Contentdrips, and click Connect. Choose the API token method, then open your Contentdrips account, navigate to app.contentdrips.com/api-management, generate an API token, and paste it into the connection field in Actionist. The agent runs a test call to confirm the handshake before any rendering begins.
How long does it take Actionist to generate a graphic or carousel?
Yes. Each Contentdrips rendering job runs asynchronously — the API returns a job ID within about a minute of your request, and the agent then polls for the result. With the 1-Click Generate action, Actionist handles the polling automatically and returns the finished PNG or PDF when it is ready, so you never have to manage job IDs manually.
What output formats does Contentdrips support through Actionist?
Contentdrips outputs both PNG and PDF. PNG is the default and works for every social platform. PDF is useful for carousel exports that need to be printed or shared as documents. You choose the output format when you configure the Generate Graphic or Generate Carousel action in Actionist — the agent passes it directly to the Contentdrips API.
Can my agent dynamically swap text and images inside a Contentdrips template?
Each action accepts a template ID from your Contentdrips account and a content_update array that maps labels you have defined in the Contentdrips editor to new text or image values. The agent passes those updates to the /render endpoint at generation time, so a single template can produce hundreds of branded variations — one per product, campaign, or language — without any manual editor work.
Can I include brand information such as my name, handle, and avatar in the generated graphics?
Yes. Every Generate action accepts an optional branding block that includes your name, social handle, bio, website URL, and avatar image URL. When you enable branding, Contentdrips stamps those details onto the graphic before rendering, so every piece of output carries consistent brand attribution — useful for agencies producing content across multiple clients from a single template set.
How do carousel posts work in Contentdrips through Actionist?
A carousel in Contentdrips consists of three parts: an intro slide, one or more content slides, and an ending slide — each with a heading, description, and optional image URL. You can provide this structure as a simple form in Actionist or as a JSON object for advanced cases. The agent assembles the payload and calls the carousel /render endpoint, which returns a multi-slide export ready to upload directly to LinkedIn or another platform.
What do I do if I want to check on a rendering job that is still processing?
Use the Check Job Status action with the job ID returned by Generate Graphic or Generate Carousel. The action queries the /job/{id}/status endpoint and returns the current state: processing, completed, or failed. Once the status is completed, call Get Job Result with the same ID to retrieve the rendered file URL. This two-step pattern is the basis of the async workflow; the 1-Click Generate action wraps both steps automatically.
Can Contentdrips trigger automations when a graphic is ready?
Contentdrips is a design generation tool — it produces graphics and carousels from templates. It does not have triggers, webhooks, or event feeds of its own. Actionist initiates every rendering job on your behalf; to build event-driven content flows, pair Contentdrips with a trigger from another app such as a new Notion database entry, a Google Sheets row, or a CRM deal stage change, and let the Contentdrips actions run as the response step.
