New lead imported, assigned, and messaged within a minute

When a contact is created in HubSpot via a form, the agent imports them into Sendblue, assigns them to the next available rep based on territory, and sends a personalised welcome iMessage — all within about a minute. The rep gets a Slack DM with the lead's details and confirmation that the first message is already on its way.

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

Without Actionist

What you do manually today

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    30 min / week
Manual lead import and first touch

Reps copy lead details from the CRM into Sendblue, find the right rep to assign, and manually craft and send a first message — taking 10-15 minutes per lead and often happening hours after submission.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent imports, assigns, and messages leads within a minute

When a lead arrives from any source, the agent imports them into Sendblue, assigns them to the right rep, and sends a personalised iMessage before the rep has even seen the notification.

  • Marketing
    25 min / week
    Manual tagging and sequence enrollment

The marketing team manually reviews new contacts, applies tags, selects the appropriate Sendblue sequence for each batch, and enrolls them one by one — taking hours when volume spikes.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent tags and enrolls contacts in sequences automatically

Contacts are tagged by source and stage as they arrive, then enrolled in the matching Sendblue sequence without anyone manually selecting a workflow or updating the CRM.

  • Customer Support
    20 min / week
    Manual inbound message routing

Support managers check Sendblue manually, decide which rep to assign each conversation to, and either remind reps verbally or paste the message context into Slack themselves.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent routes inbound messages and logs activities automatically

Every inbound Sendblue message is assigned to the right support rep and logged as a CRM activity within about a minute, so nothing sits unanswered in the queue.

  • Human Resources
    15 min / week
    Manual candidate onboarding setup

HR manually updates Sendblue, finds and enrolls the new hire in the pre-boarding sequence, and separately messages the team about the new starter — taking 20-30 minutes per hire.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent imports candidates and starts pre-boarding sequences automatically

When an offer is accepted, the agent marks the candidate's contact as complete, enrolls them in the pre-boarding sequence, and announces the hire — all from a single spreadsheet update.

  • Finance
    15 min / week
    Manual Sendblue billing reconciliation

Finance manually downloads Sendblue call logs, cross-references sender numbers against the HR system, and reconciles usage against the billing statement — an hour of work each month.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent audits sender numbers and call volumes automatically

The agent checks sender number assignments against the rep roster weekly and flags orphaned numbers and billing discrepancies before the monthly close without anyone pulling a manual report.

  • Operations
    20 min / week
    Manual Sendblue admin hygiene

Operations staff manually audit the Sendblue tag taxonomy, check for rogue sequences, and review sender number assignments in separate sessions — typically skipped when the team is busy.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent audits tags, workflows, and numbers weekly on a schedule

The operations agent pulls the full tag list, active workflow roster, and sender number assignments each week, flags non-standard items, and updates the ops sheet automatically.

  • Legal
    10 min / week
    Manual opt-out processing

Legal or operations staff monitor Sendblue for opt-out replies, manually remove contacts from sequences, apply opt-out tags, and log timestamps to a compliance sheet — a slow process that risks missing replies.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent processes opt-outs and compliance tags within about a minute

When a contact sends an opt-out reply, the agent tags them, marks them as completed, logs the timestamp, and stops all sequences — the full compliance action happens within about a minute of the reply.

FAQs

Questions about Sendblue + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to Sendblue?
Go to the Apps tab, find Sendblue, and click Connect. You will need a Sendblue API key — log in to your Sendblue account, navigate to Settings, and generate an API key under the Developer or Integrations section. Paste the key into Actionist and click Test connection. Actionist runs a read-only check before any actions run.
Can Actionist automatically import leads from other tools into Sendblue?
Yes. The Import Contact action accepts a phone number, first and last name, email, application info, ad set name, and setter attribution details. Once a contact is imported, you can immediately assign them to a team member, add tags, or enroll them in a messaging sequence — all within the same agent task.
Does Actionist support sending images or media via Sendblue?
Sendblue delivers messages over iMessage (for Apple devices) and SMS as a fallback. The Send Outbound Message action supports text content, media URLs (images, video, files), and voice memo URLs (sent as Apple voice memos). The From Number field lets you select which of your Sendblue sender numbers sends the message.
Which Sendblue events can trigger an Actionist agent?
Sendblue fires webhook triggers that Actionist picks up within about a minute. Supported triggers include New Inbound Message, New Outbound Message, New Outbound Call, New Call Recording, New Lead Assignment, Tag Added, and Changed Lead Name. Each trigger gives your agent the context it needs to react — for example, routing an inbound message to a CRM or notifying the assigned rep in Slack.
How do I enroll a lead in a Sendblue messaging sequence from Actionist?
Use the Enroll in Workflow action. Pass the lead's phone number, first name, and the workflow ID you want to enroll them in. You can also set the lead owner email and an event time if your workflow is time-triggered. The lead enters the Sendblue sequence from that point forward — no manual action inside the Sendblue dashboard is required.
Can Actionist assign leads to specific Sendblue users automatically?
Use the Assign Lead action with the lead's phone number and the Sendblue user email of the rep you want to assign. This is useful when a lead is imported or a trigger fires — for example, when a form submission comes in from HubSpot, the agent can immediately import the contact and assign them to the next available rep based on a round-robin in Google Sheets.
Can Actionist do something with Sendblue call recordings automatically?
Yes. Use the New Call Recording trigger to fire an action whenever a call is recorded in Sendblue. The agent can retrieve the recording, send the transcript or summary to the assigned rep via Slack, log activity notes to the lead record using Associate Activity With Lead, or update a deal record in your CRM. Call coaching workflows become automatic rather than a manual review process.
How do I mark a Sendblue lead as completed when a deal closes in my CRM?
Use the Mark Contact Completed action with the lead's phone number. This marks the contact as completed in Sendblue, which is useful after a sale is closed, an appointment is confirmed, or a support issue is resolved. Pair it with a trigger from your CRM — for example, when a deal moves to Closed Won in HubSpot, the agent marks the corresponding Sendblue lead as completed automatically.
