Review request fires the moment a job is completed

When a job is marked complete in the field-service app, the agent finds the customer in NiceJob, creates a visit record under the booking, and enrolls the customer in the Get Reviews campaign. The review request lands in the customer's inbox within about a minute of job completion — when their satisfaction is highest and the experience is freshest.

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    25 min / week
    Manual post-deal review enrollment

After closing a deal, reps log into NiceJob, find the customer, and manually enroll them in the review campaign — a 5-minute task per deal that gets skipped when the pipeline is busy.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent enrolls customers at the moment of deal close

When a deal closes in the CRM, the agent creates a NiceJob person, booking, and campaign enrollment automatically — the review request goes out before the rep writes the close email.

  • Marketing
    30 min / week
    Weekly manual review monitoring

The marketing team logs into NiceJob each week to check for new reviews, copies the positives into the social content queue, and emails the support team about any negatives — a process that takes 30 minutes and often runs late.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent routes every review within about a minute

When a review arrives, the agent posts it to the right Slack channel, adds 5-star reviews to the content queue, and creates escalation tasks for low-star reviews — all within about a minute of the review landing.

  • Customer Support
    20 min / week
Manual case creation after resolved tickets

Support agents remember to log into NiceJob after resolving a ticket and create a case to trigger the review campaign — but this step is skipped when volume is high, leaving satisfied customers unenrolled.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent creates cases and enrolls contacts after every resolution

When a support ticket is resolved, the agent creates a NiceJob case and enrolls the customer in the review campaign automatically — no support agent needs to touch NiceJob.

  • Human Resources
    15 min / week
Manual new hire setup in NiceJob

When a new technician starts, HR or an operations manager manually creates their NiceJob employee record — a step that sometimes takes days and leaves the new hire unable to be assigned to bookings.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent creates employee records on approval

The moment a new hire is approved in the HR system, the agent creates their NiceJob employee record with all details — they are ready for booking assignment on their first day.

  • Finance
    35 min / week
Manual invoice creation after job completion

Finance staff check the job completion report daily and manually create NiceJob invoices for each completed booking — a process prone to delays and missed jobs when the team is busy.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent creates invoices at the moment of job completion

When a booking is marked complete, the agent creates the NiceJob invoice immediately, syncs it to the accounting system, and triggers the review campaign — billing and reputation management run in parallel.

  • Operations
    90 min / week
Manual weekly booking and contact audits

Operations managers manually export NiceJob booking and contact lists each week, compare them against the CRM and field app, and flag discrepancies for correction — a 90-minute process every Friday.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent runs data audits and syncs automatically

The agent lists bookings, invoices, and people from NiceJob, compares them against other systems, and writes the sync report to Slack and Google Sheets — leadership sees a full-picture view without manual exports.

  • Legal
    20 min / week
    Manual review authenticity checking

The legal team periodically downloads the NiceJob review list and manually checks suspicious reviews against booking records — a slow process that means fraudulent reviews stay live while investigations are pending.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent cross-checks every review against booking history

Every week the agent compares all new reviews against the booking history and flags any reviewer with no matching booking record, creating a legal case for investigation before any response is posted.

FAQs

Questions about NiceJob + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to NiceJob?
Go to the Apps tab in Actionist, find NiceJob, and click Connect. You will need to provide your NiceJob API key, which you can generate from the NiceJob developer or integration settings. Actionist runs a test call to confirm the connection before any actions run. Once connected, your agents can create persons, bookings, invoices, visits, and campaign enrollments directly from Actionist.
What permissions does Actionist need on my NiceJob account?
Actionist needs API access to your NiceJob account with read and write permissions. The specific scopes required cover contacts (persons), bookings, visits, invoices, payments, employees, cases, and campaign enrollments. Actionist uses these permissions only when an agent explicitly calls an action — it does not run background reads on your account beyond the actions you configure.
How quickly does Actionist react to a new review in NiceJob?
The Review Created or Updated trigger polls your NiceJob account and fires within about a minute of a new review arriving or an existing review being updated. This means a low-star review escalation task can reach your customer success team within about a minute of the review landing — fast enough to respond before the customer expects a reply.
Can Actionist automatically enroll every completed booking into the NiceJob review campaign?
Yes. The most common pattern is a scheduled agent task that runs after each booking is marked complete — it calls Find a Person to locate the customer in NiceJob and then Enroll Contact into the Get Reviews campaign. You can also trigger enrollment from an external event (such as a payment being received or a support ticket being resolved) by using the Person Created or Updated trigger alongside an Enroll Contact action.
Can I sync contacts between my CRM and NiceJob without duplicate records?
Yes. The Create or Update Person action is an upsert — it matches by email address. If a person with that email already exists in NiceJob, the action updates their record rather than creating a duplicate. Your agents can safely run this on every CRM contact update without accumulating duplicate entries, keeping both systems in sync as contact details change over time.
Does Actionist work with NiceJob's existing review campaigns, or does it create new ones?
Actionist works with your existing NiceJob campaigns. The Enroll Contact action can enroll customers into any campaign you have already configured in NiceJob — including the default Get Reviews campaign. You set up the campaign content and timing in NiceJob; Actionist handles enrolling the right customers at the right moment based on signals from your other connected tools.
Can Actionist create NiceJob invoices from data in my accounting or job-management system?
Yes. The Create Invoice action accepts person IDs, subtotal, discount, tax, total, balance, paid status, and tags. Your agent can pull the service amount and customer details from a field-service app, accounting tool, or Google Sheet and create the NiceJob invoice with accurate figures — so the customer receives their invoice and their review request from the same job-complete event.
How do I handle situations where the same customer appears in both NiceJob and my CRM with different contact details?
Use the Find a Person action to check whether the customer already exists in NiceJob before writing any data. If they exist with different details, decide which system is the source of truth (usually the CRM) and use Create or Update Person to push the authoritative record into NiceJob. Run this audit on a weekly schedule — the Operations Agent calendar job for Tuesday afternoons is a good starting pattern for most teams.
