New lead to full CRM record in one step

When a prospect fills out the website form, the agent checks Daylite for an existing contact, creates person and company records if needed, opens an opportunity at the first stage, assigns a follow-up task to the rep, and fires a Slack alert — the rep has a complete CRM record in Daylite within about a minute of form submission.

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

Without Actionist

What you do manually today

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    25 min / week
Manual CRM data entry after every call

Reps open Daylite after each call, create or find the person, update the opportunity stage, log a note, and create the next task — five minutes of admin per conversation.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent keeps Daylite current after every interaction

The sales agent creates records, updates stages, logs notes, and assigns tasks within about a minute of each conversation — reps close more deals by spending that time on follow-up.

  • Marketing
    60 min / week
Weekly manual import of campaign leads

The marketing team exports campaign responses, manually checks for Daylite duplicates, creates person records one by one, and tags each with the campaign source — an hour of work every Monday.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent imports and tags campaign leads automatically

When campaigns close, the agent searches Daylite for duplicates and creates new person records with campaign keywords applied — marketing-sourced leads are in the CRM and attributed within about a minute.

  • Customer Support
    15 min / week
Escalation summaries emailed to account managers

Support teams write escalation summaries in emails and rely on the account manager reading them before calling the client — context is inconsistent and often lost.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent logs escalation notes directly on the Daylite account

When a ticket is escalated, the agent logs a note on the Daylite company record and creates a same-day task for the account manager — context is in the CRM where the account manager works.

  • Human Resources
    20 min / week
Manual new-hire record creation in Daylite

HR manually creates a Daylite person record for each new hire, adds the department keyword, and creates the onboarding task list — 20 minutes of setup per new starter.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent creates new-hire records and tasks in Daylite automatically

When a new starter is confirmed, the agent creates the Daylite person record with role and department details and spins up the full onboarding task list — every new hire is set up before they arrive.

  • Finance
    45 min / week
Manual pipeline review for revenue forecasting

Finance manually searches Daylite for open opportunities each week, copies values and close dates to a spreadsheet, and calculates a weighted forecast — a 45-minute exercise every Monday.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent posts a pipeline-based forecast every Monday

The finance agent searches Daylite for all open opportunities, weights them by stage, and posts the forecast to Slack every Monday morning — finance and leadership start the week aligned.

  • Operations
    30 min / week
Manual project creation and task setup for new clients

The operations team manually creates a Daylite project for each new client, adds tasks from a template, sets due dates, and books the kick-off appointment — an hour per new client engagement.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent creates delivery projects and tasks for every new client

When a deal closes, the agent creates the Daylite project, populates the standard task list with due dates, and books the kick-off appointment — delivery infrastructure is ready before the sales team sends the welcome email.

  • Legal
    20 min / week
Contract events tracked in a separate legal spreadsheet

The legal team manually logs contract signings, renewals, and terminations in a spreadsheet separate from Daylite — context is split across two systems and never fully up to date.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent logs contract events directly on the Daylite company record

When a contract event occurs, the agent logs a note on the Daylite company record with the event type, date, and signatory — legal history is searchable from the same record as the deal and project.

FAQs

Questions about Daylite + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to Daylite?
Go to the Apps tab, find Daylite, and click Connect. Actionist connects to Daylite via its REST API using your Daylite username and password or an API token depending on your Daylite plan. Once connected, Actionist runs a test call to confirm access before any agent actions run.
Does Daylite work on Windows or only on Mac and iOS?
Daylite itself is a Mac and iOS native application. However, Daylite exposes a REST API that Actionist uses to read and write records — so even if your team operates across platforms, Actionist agents can update Daylite contacts, opportunities, projects, and tasks from any trigger source without requiring a Mac.
Can Actionist create opportunities and move them through the Daylite pipeline automatically?
Yes. The sales agent can create opportunities at any pipeline stage and update them as deals progress. When a trigger fires — a form submission, a Mailchimp engagement threshold, a Zendesk ticket status — the agent opens or advances the matching opportunity in Daylite within about a minute, without anyone opening the Daylite app.
What is the difference between Create Person and Find or Create Person?
Create Person always creates a new record, which can produce duplicates if the contact already exists. Find or Create Person searches Daylite first and only creates a record if none is found — this is the safer action for inbound lead flows where the same contact might submit a form more than once. Use Find or Create Person in any automated pipeline where duplicate prevention matters.
Can Actionist link Daylite records together — for example, attaching a person to a company or a task to an opportunity?
Yes. The Link Objects action creates relationships between any two Daylite records. You can link a person to a company, a task to an opportunity, a note to a project, or an appointment to a contact. This is important because Daylite's power comes from its relational structure — an agent that creates records without linking them leaves data siloed.
How quickly does Actionist react to Daylite triggers like New Opportunity or Opportunity Updated?
Daylite sends events via webhooks, and Actionist processes them within about a minute of the event occurring in Daylite. This means that when a rep moves a deal to 'Won' in Daylite, the delivery project, task list, and Slack alert are ready within about a minute — not on the next polling cycle.
Can I use Actionist to keep Daylite in sync with another CRM or project management tool?
Yes. Because Actionist connects to hundreds of apps, you can create bidirectional syncs — for example, mirroring Daylite opportunities to a Google Sheet pipeline tracker, or creating Daylite projects when a deal closes in HubSpot. The agent handles the record matching and field mapping so both systems stay aligned without a manual export-import cycle.
Does Actionist support Daylite's custom fields and keywords?
Yes. When creating or updating Daylite records through Actionist, agents can set category keywords that you have defined in your Daylite account. Custom fields that Daylite exposes through its API are also accessible. This means your existing Daylite taxonomy — industry categories, pipeline keywords, project types — carries through to every record the agent creates.
