Weekly AI search brand monitoring digest

Every Monday the agent sends the brand name to ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google Search via Cloro with markdown output, captures all three structured responses, writes a comparison row to Google Sheets, and posts the digest to the #brand-monitoring Slack channel — giving the team a weekly snapshot of how AI systems describe the brand.

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    40 min / week
    Manual pre-call AI research

Reps open ChatGPT or Perplexity, type each prospect's industry query, copy the response, and paste notes into the CRM before calls — 10 minutes per prospect, every week.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent runs localised AI research automatically

When a new prospect is created, the agent queries Cloro for the prospect's local Google Search landscape and a ChatGPT industry summary, and attaches both structured responses to the CRM record before the rep even opens their calendar.

  • Marketing
    45 min / week
    Manual brand perception spot-checks

Someone opens ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode separately, runs the brand query in each, and copies findings into a spreadsheet — 45 minutes every Monday before the team meeting.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent delivers multi-provider brand digest automatically

Every Tuesday at 8 AM the agent queries three AI providers via Cloro, writes the structured comparison to Google Sheets, and posts the digest to Slack before the team's planning call starts.

  • Customer Support
    30 min / week
    Manual AI answer accuracy spot-checks

A support lead manually queries ChatGPT and Perplexity for the top customer questions each week, compares answers to the help docs, and logs gaps — 30 minutes minimum every Monday.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent audits AI documentation coverage automatically

The agent queries ChatGPT and Perplexity for every flagged topic, compares structured outputs to official documentation, and logs discrepancies — complete before the Monday standup, without anyone opening a browser.

  • Human Resources
    20 min / week
    Manual employer brand perception checks

HR manually queries AI tools for the company as an employer, copies findings, and reviews them before talent campaigns — unstructured, irregular, and time-consuming.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent monitors employer AI perception weekly

The HR Agent queries ChatGPT and Perplexity for employer perception each Monday, compares structured outputs to official messaging, and flags divergences — with no manual browser sessions required.

  • Finance
    35 min / week
Manual regulatory and pricing AI research

Finance manually queries AI tools for regulatory updates and supplier pricing benchmarks before key meetings — inconsistent coverage and no audit trail of what was checked.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent runs structured regulatory and pricing sweeps automatically

The Finance Agent queries Perplexity and Grok via Cloro on a fixed schedule, writes structured cited responses to the compliance and vendor sheets, and flags material changes before meetings.

  • Operations
    90 min / week
    Manual batch research request coordination

Operations receives research requests, manually queries each AI provider, copies responses into a sheet, and notifies requesters — hours of coordination work per batch.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
    Agent processes research batches automatically

The Operations Agent reads the request queue, submits Monitor queries to Cloro for each topic, tracks task status, writes results as they arrive, and notifies teams — the full batch completes without manual intervention.

  • Legal
    45 min / week
Manual AI compliance and brand monitoring

Legal manually queries AI tools for regulatory updates, jurisdiction-specific search results, and brand mentions — time-intensive, irregular, and with no consistent audit record.

FAQs

Questions about Cloro + Actionist

What is Cloro and what does it actually do?
Cloro is a structured data extraction API. You send it a prompt or search query and tell it which provider to use — ChatGPT, Google Search, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, or Grok — and it returns a clean, machine-readable response. Instead of scraping a browser session or parsing HTML yourself, Cloro handles the extraction and hands you structured text that an agent can route directly into any downstream system.
Which AI providers and search engines does Cloro support?
Cloro currently supports ChatGPT (OpenAI), Google Search (with AI Overview), Google Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and Grok (xAI). Each provider has its own endpoint — for example, Google Search accepts a query, city, device type, and page count, while the AI providers accept a prompt. ChatGPT additionally supports a raw-response flag and a search-queries flag that returns the sub-queries the model issued internally.
How does Actionist connect to Cloro?
Cloro uses API key authentication. Sign up at cloro.dev, copy your API key from the dashboard, then open the Apps tab in Actionist, find Cloro, click Connect, and paste the key. Actionist sends it as a Bearer token in the Authorization header on every request. The connection test calls the /v1/countries endpoint to confirm the key is valid before any live queries run.
Can I target specific countries or cities in my queries?
Yes. The Monitor Google Search operation accepts country, city, and device parameters for precise geo-targeting. The other AI provider operations accept a country parameter that localises the response context. Before building geo-targeted automations, call Get Countries filtered to your chosen provider to confirm which countries are supported — the supported list can vary by model.
What output formats does Cloro return?
Cloro returns structured JSON by default. You can add optional include flags to request additional formats: include.html returns the raw HTML of the provider's response alongside the structured extract; include.markdown returns a clean markdown-formatted version of the text, ready to paste into Notion pages, Slack messages, or document editors. For ChatGPT specifically, include.rawResponse returns the full model output and include.searchQueries returns the sub-queries the model used internally.
What are the main use cases for Cloro with Actionist agents?
The most common patterns are: (1) brand and competitor monitoring — querying multiple AI providers weekly for brand name and competitor mentions and routing structured outputs to a tracking sheet; (2) SEO and SERP snapshots — running Google Search queries with AI Overview enabled to capture how the brand appears in AI-generated search results; (3) research brief generation — querying Perplexity with markdown output to create sourced content briefs automatically; and (4) multi-market geo-targeting — running the same search across multiple countries to compare regional search landscapes.
How do asynchronous tasks and Get Task Status work?
Some Cloro Monitor operations are asynchronous — the API returns a task ID rather than the result immediately. Use Get Task Status with the task ID to check processing progress. Your agent can poll Get Task Status on a schedule (within about a minute between polls) until the status returns complete, then route the finished result downstream. This pattern is especially useful for batches of research queries where you want to submit all tasks upfront and collect results as they complete.
Can Cloro replace manual AI research workflows for teams?
For structured, repeatable research tasks — monitoring brand mentions, checking competitor AI positioning, capturing SERP snapshots, generating content briefs — yes. Cloro lets Actionist agents submit queries to multiple AI providers programmatically and route structured outputs into sheets, databases, or messaging channels on a schedule. It does not replace exploratory or open-ended research where a human judgment call is needed mid-process; those cases still benefit from a human review gate before the output is published or acted upon.
