Turn documents, emails, and PDFs into structured data automatically

ProductivityDocumentsDatabaseAnalyticsFormsAutomation

Parseur is an AI-powered document data extraction platform that converts PDFs, emails, scanned forms, and invoices into clean structured data automatically. Connect Parseur to Actionist and your agents can submit documents for extraction, receive parsed fields the moment processing completes, route individual line items from invoices or tables downstream, catch and retry failed documents, and export structured data to any connected system — all without anyone logging in to the Parseur dashboard.

Vendor invoice extracted and logged on email arrival

When a vendor invoice email arrives in Gmail, the Finance Agent extracts the PDF attachment, submits it to the AP Parseur mailbox, and waits for the extraction to complete. Within about a minute the parsed fields are written to the AP tracking sheet and a summary posted to #finance-ops for approval — no one manually opens the email or types a number into a spreadsheet.

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    40 min / week
Manual lead data entry from email

Reps read inbound lead emails, open the CRM, and manually type name, company, budget, and enquiry type into a new contact record for every enquiry that comes in.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent parses lead emails and syncs CRM within a minute

When a lead enquiry email arrives, the agent submits it to Parseur, waits for extraction, and creates the HubSpot contact with pre-filled fields — all before the rep opens their inbox.

  • Marketing
    25 min / week
    Manual campaign brief data entry

The marketing coordinator reads each brief, then manually copies campaign name, budget, dates, and audience into the campaign tracking spreadsheet — a routine that repeats for every new brief.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent structures campaign brief data on arrival

When a campaign brief document lands in the mailbox, the agent extracts key dates, budget, and target audience and writes them to the campaign tracker — before anyone opens the file.

  • Customer Support
    30 min / week
    Manual support form data entry

Support agents open each submitted form, read the content, and manually type the issue type, account number, and contact details into the ticketing system before responding.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent routes support form fields to ticketing system automatically

Parsed support form fields arrive in the ticketing system within about a minute of submission — issue type, account number, and contact are pre-filled before a human agent touches the ticket.

  • Human Resources
    50 min / week
    Manual resume data entry

Recruiters open each received resume, read through the document, and manually enter candidate name, current title, skills, and experience years into the ATS for every application.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent creates ATS candidate records from resumes automatically

When a resume is uploaded, the agent submits it to Parseur, waits for extraction, and creates a pre-filled ATS record with name, skills, and experience — no recruiter types a field.

  • Finance
    80 min / week
    Manual invoice data entry

Accounts payable staff open each invoice email, download the PDF, read the fields, and manually type vendor name, invoice number, amount, and due date into the AP spreadsheet.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent logs invoice fields to AP tracker on email arrival

When a vendor invoice email arrives, the agent extracts the PDF, submits it to Parseur, and writes vendor name, invoice number, total, and due date to the AP tracker within about a minute.

  • Operations
    45 min / week
    Manual Parseur dashboard monitoring

The ops team logs in to the Parseur dashboard, checks each mailbox's queue manually, identifies failed or unprocessed documents, and re-submits or escalates each one by hand.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent monitors all mailboxes and auto-retries failures

Failed documents are retried within about a minute and persistent failures escalated as tasks — the ops team only sees issues that genuinely need human attention.

  • Legal
    30 min / week
    Manual contract indexing

Legal administrators open each uploaded contract, read the document to find party names, value, and key dates, then manually enter the details into the contract register and set calendar reminders.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent indexes contracts and sets expiry reminders on upload

When a contract PDF is uploaded, the agent extracts party names, value, and dates, creates the legal register record, and sets a 90-day expiry reminder — no lawyer touches the data entry.

How to plug Parseur into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

Connect Parseur using your account API key. The key grants access to all mailboxes and documents in your Parseur account — treat it like a password and store it securely.

1
Copy your Parseur API key

Log in to your Parseur account, go to Settings, then the API section. Copy the API key shown there.

2
Paste into Actionist

Paste the API key into the Actionist connection dialog and click Test connection. Actionist calls the List Mailboxes endpoint to verify the key is valid.

3
Connection confirmed

Once the test passes, your agents can submit documents and receive parsed output from any of your Parseur mailboxes.

FAQs

Questions about Parseur + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to Parseur?
Go to the Apps tab, find Parseur, and click Connect. Parseur uses API key authentication — log in to your Parseur account, navigate to Settings and copy your API key, then paste it into the Actionist connection dialog. Actionist runs a test call against your mailbox list to confirm the key is valid before saving the connection.
How does Parseur's mailbox model work with Actionist?
Parseur uses a mailbox model: each mailbox is a dedicated email address or upload endpoint you configure to accept a specific document type. When Actionist creates a document, it submits the file or email content to the target mailbox ID. Parsed results come back as structured JSON fields defined by the template you set up inside Parseur. The template stays in Parseur — Actionist reads and routes the output.
What document types can Parseur extract data from?
Yes. Parseur supports PDFs (digital and scanned), email bodies and attachments, images captured on a phone, Word documents, CSVs, invoices, purchase orders, contracts, forms, ID documents, bank statements, bills of lading, and medical claims. You set up one mailbox per document type in Parseur, then point each Actionist agent at the relevant mailbox ID.
How do I trigger a workflow as soon as a document is parsed?
Use the New Document Processed trigger. Within about a minute of Parseur finishing extraction, Actionist receives the webhook payload with all parsed fields. You can then route specific field values — invoice total, vendor name, PO number — into any other connected app such as QuickBooks, Google Sheets, or HubSpot without polling or manual exports.
Can Actionist alert me when a document fails to parse?
Yes. Use the New Document Export Failed or New Document Not Processed triggers to catch failures within about a minute. You can route these events to a Slack alert, create a task in your project management tool, or re-submit the document to a different mailbox for manual review — all without checking the Parseur dashboard.
How does Parseur handle structured versus unstructured documents?
Parseur's template-based extraction lets you define expected fields once — invoice number, line items, due date — and it applies those rules to every new document of the same type. For unstructured documents, the AI Vision and Text AI modes can infer fields without a fixed template. Actionist reads whatever field names and values Parseur returns, so adding new fields in Parseur automatically makes them available in your agent's output.
How do I extract and route individual line items from invoices or tables?
Use the New Document Processed (With List Items) trigger. This variant of the processed event fires once per extracted row in a table — line items on an invoice, products in a purchase order, or beneficiaries on a policy document. Each trigger payload contains a single row's fields, so your agent can fan out into per-row actions such as creating individual records in your ERP or updating a spreadsheet row by row.
How do I submit a file from another app into Parseur for parsing?
Use Create Document From File to submit a PDF or image file directly from another app — Google Drive, email attachments, or a cloud storage bucket — into a Parseur mailbox via Actionist. The agent reads the file content, passes it to Parseur, and then waits for the New Document Processed trigger to act on the extracted data. This lets you build end-to-end pipelines: file arrives → agent submits it → agent routes the parsed output, all without human involvement.
