Eliminates manual work. Agents eliminate manual access provisioning, order-state reconciliation, and learner progress chasing that course admins handle by hand after every payment event.

Course access granted on payment confirmation

When Stripe confirms a payment, the agent checks that a member record exists, grants course access, syncs the order state, and posts a notification to Slack — so every paying learner gets into their course within about a minute of checkout with no admin involvement.

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

What you do manually today

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    25 min / week
Manual course enrolment after deal close

After a deal closes, a sales admin manually grants course access in Memberspot, often 24–48 hours after payment — creating a poor first impression for the new customer.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent enrols the customer within about a minute of payment

When a deal closes in Stripe, the agent calls Grant Access so the customer is in their course before the sales rep finishes the close call — zero admin lag.

  • Marketing
    30 min / week
Manual lead-to-course enrolment after form submission

Marketing ops checks the form submission list daily and manually enrolls qualifying leads in the free course — typically a same-day but never instant process.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent enrols leads automatically on form submit

When a lead fills in a landing page form, the agent grants course access and tags the member record with the campaign source within about a minute — nurture sequence fires immediately.

  • Customer Support
    45 min / week
Manual access troubleshooting via Memberspot dashboard

Support reps log in to Memberspot, search for the member, check their access record, and grant or revoke access by hand — adding 10–15 minutes to every access-related ticket.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent resolves access issues in the ticket thread

The support agent looks up the member by email, checks their access state, and issues Grant or Revoke Access without leaving the support workflow — access issues resolved in under a minute.

  • Human Resources
    20 min / week
IT ticket to provision new-hire course access

HR submits an IT ticket to provision Memberspot access for each new hire — a process that can take 1–2 days and frequently misses the first day of employment.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent provisions training access the moment the hire is confirmed

When the new-hire row appears in the HRIS sheet, the agent immediately grants access to the onboarding course bundle — training is ready before the employee badge is printed.

  • Finance
    40 min / week
Manual reconciliation of payment events and Memberspot order states

Finance exports a Stripe payment report, compares it against Memberspot order records, and manually updates mismatches — a weekly process that can surface errors days after they occur.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent syncs order states automatically after every payment event

Every Stripe payment, cancellation, or refund updates the matching Memberspot order state within about a minute — reconciliation reports show no gaps.

  • Operations
    120 min / week
    Manual weekly learner progress reporting

Ops logs in to Memberspot each Friday to pull course progress for active learners, copies data into a spreadsheet, and emails the report to team leads — two hours of copy-paste every week.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent compiles and posts the progress report automatically

The operations agent fetches course progress for all active learners, writes the summary to the tracking sheet, and posts the ranked report to Slack — the whole cycle runs while ops focuses on other work.

  • Legal
    30 min / week
Manual tracking of compliance course completions

Legal manually checks Memberspot each month to confirm which employees have completed mandatory compliance training, then updates the compliance register by hand — a process prone to lag and omission.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent logs compliance completions to the audit trail automatically

When a learner completes a compliance course, the agent verifies progress, stamps the completion date, and appends the record to the legal audit log — the register is always current without manual checks.

FAQs

Questions about Memberspot + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to Memberspot?
Go to the Apps tab, find Memberspot, and click Connect. Generate an API key in your Memberspot account under Settings → Integrations → API and paste it into the API key field. Actionist runs a read-only test call to confirm the handshake. Once connected, your agents can grant and revoke course access, look up member records, update order states, and set custom properties — all through the Memberspot API.
Can the agent automatically grant course access when a payment is received?
Yes. The most common Memberspot workflow is: payment event fires in Stripe or WooCommerce → agent calls Grant Access with the customer's email → Memberspot creates the member if they don't exist and enrolls them in the course. The whole sequence completes within about a minute of the payment being confirmed, so customers get into their content while the checkout experience is still fresh.
What happens to a member's progress when access is revoked?
When you use the Revoke Access action, Memberspot removes the member's permission to view course content but preserves all their progress data internally. If access is reinstated later — for example, after a failed payment is resolved — the member returns to exactly where they left off. If you use Delete Access instead, the permission record is permanently removed. Use Revoke for temporary situations like payment lapse; use Delete only for permanent removal or GDPR erasure.
Can I use Actionist to run drip-content courses that unlock chapters on a schedule?
Yes. The Enable Chapter Access by User Id action lets an agent unlock specific chapters for specific learners. You can run a scheduled agent task each Monday that reads learner progress, checks whether the prior chapter was completed, and unlocks the next one for qualifying learners. This gives you a structured weekly learning pace without any manual admin work and without needing Memberspot's built-in drip scheduler.
How do I keep Memberspot and my CRM in sync?
The most effective pattern is bidirectional: use Find User by Mail to look up a Memberspot member from a CRM email, then use Set Custom Property to write CRM data (deal tier, campaign tag, sales rep) back into Memberspot, and use Users Course Progress List to pull completion data back into the CRM. Both directions run through the same agent workflow, so your CRM always knows what the learner has completed and Memberspot always knows how the learner was acquired.
Can Actionist handle Memberspot access for corporate or team accounts?
Yes. For corporate accounts with multiple learners, you can pass a list of employee emails through a Grant Access loop — the agent creates member records that don't yet exist and enrolls each person in the relevant course. When the account terminates or an employee leaves, Set Order State by User Id and Revoke Access let you bulk-update the entire account in a single scheduled agent task. Custom properties let you tag each member with their team, department, or cost centre for reporting.
Does Memberspot have triggers that can start an Actionist workflow?
Memberspot does not currently provide native event webhooks that Actionist can listen to directly. The recommended pattern for event-driven workflows is to poll from the upstream system that initiates the event — for example, listen for Stripe payment events, WooCommerce orders, or HubSpot form submissions, and use those as the workflow trigger. Memberspot actions then fire as the downstream step. For learner-progress-driven events, a scheduled agent task that reads progress on a cadence is the practical approach.
What is the difference between Delete Users and Revoke Access in Memberspot?
Revoke Access removes a member's permission to view a specific course but leaves their member account and all progress data intact. Delete Users permanently removes the entire member account from Memberspot, including all custom properties, access records, and progress history. Use Revoke for subscription lapses, offboarding, or temporary pauses. Use Delete Users only for full GDPR erasure requests or when a test/duplicate account needs to be cleaned up permanently.
