Automate every stage of the insurance applicant lifecycle

CRMSalesDocumentsAnalyticsAutomationLead Generation

EZLynx is an all-in-one insurance agency management system (AMS) built for independent agents — combining a comparative rater, CRM, pipeline management, document storage, and client portal in a single platform. Connect EZLynx to Actionist and your agents can create commercial and personal lines prospects the moment a lead arrives, search and update applicant records, attach documents, log notes, and react within about a minute to every new applicant, modified opportunity, or incoming document — without a producer lifting a finger.

Eliminates manual work. Agents eliminate manual data entry for new applicants, prospect creation, document attachment, and note-logging that producers and CSRs repeat dozens of times each week.

New web lead to quoted applicant in EZLynx

When a website quote request arrives, the agent checks EZLynx for an existing record, creates a new Applicant and Opportunity if none is found, logs the coverage interest as a note, and pings the assigned producer in Slack — the producer opens EZLynx to a fully populated applicant record and a warm lead context in under two minutes.

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

Without Actionist

What you do manually today

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    45 min / week
    Manual lead entry into EZLynx

Producers manually create prospect and applicant records in EZLynx for every inbound lead — copying name, email, phone, and coverage interest from the form submission or email, one field at a time.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent creates applicant and opportunity automatically

When a lead arrives from any source, the agent searches for duplicates, creates the EZLynx prospect or applicant, attaches an opportunity, logs a note, and pings the producer in Slack — all before the producer opens the AMS.

  • Marketing
    30 min / week
Manual EZLynx export for campaign attribution

The marketing team runs a manual export from EZLynx every week to count new prospects by source, copies the numbers into a spreadsheet, and updates the attribution report — a 30-minute task that's always a week behind.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent builds the attribution report from EZLynx automatically

Every week the agent searches EZLynx for new prospects, groups them by source, and posts the attribution breakdown to Slack — no export, no spreadsheet work, current data before the weekly meeting.

  • Customer Support
    75 min / week
Manual note logging after every customer call

CSRs manually open each applicant's EZLynx record after every call and type a note summarising the interaction, coverage discussed, and next steps — adding 3–5 minutes to every post-call wrap-up.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent logs notes on every interaction automatically

After each customer interaction processed in a connected channel, the agent creates a note in EZLynx on the matching applicant record — the CSR skips the manual logging step entirely and moves to the next call.

  • Human Resources
    30 min / week
Manual producer record maintenance in EZLynx

HR manually reviews EZLynx records for new producer activity, reassigns accounts when a producer leaves, and tracks licensing document expiry by scanning individual records — scattered tasks with no systematic schedule.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent audits and maintains producer records on a schedule

The HR agent runs weekly audits of new-producer activity, flags licensing documents expiring in 60 days, and processes departing-producer reassignments automatically — all without HR opening the AMS.

  • Finance
    45 min / week
Manual renewal premium pipeline extraction from EZLynx

The finance team runs a weekly EZLynx report to find upcoming renewals, manually searches notes for premium amounts, and enters projections into the forecast spreadsheet — a 45-minute task every Monday morning.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent builds the renewal forecast from EZLynx notes automatically

Every Monday the Finance Agent searches for 90-day renewals, retrieves premium notes, and updates the forecast spreadsheet — the finance team opens Monday with a current revenue projection rather than building one.

  • Operations
    60 min / week
Manual data quality review across EZLynx book

Operations team members periodically scroll through EZLynx applicant records looking for missing email addresses, blank SIC codes, and inactive prospects — an unsystematic process that leaves data quality gaps for weeks.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent sweeps the book for data quality issues every week

The Operations Agent searches for records modified in the past week, checks for data quality issues, logs findings as notes, and routes corrections to the CSR queue — every issue is caught and routed within seven days.

  • Legal
    20 min / week
Manual E&O document retrieval from EZLynx

When an E&O event occurs, the legal team manually searches EZLynx for the applicant, opens the Notes and Documents tabs, exports each file, and compiles the response package — a process that can take hours on a complex account.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent assembles the E&O documentation package automatically

When an E&O keyword appears in a new note, the agent retrieves all notes and documents, creates the case folder, logs a review-in-progress note, and emails the E&O coordinator — the response package is ready within about a minute.

FAQs

Questions about EZLynx + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to EZLynx?
Go to the Apps tab in Actionist, find EZLynx, and click Connect. You'll be prompted for your EZLynx API Key — generate this from your EZLynx account under Settings → API. Paste the key into Actionist and click Test Connection. Actionist runs a read-only call to verify the key before any live actions run. Once connected, your agent can search applicants, create prospects, attach documents, log notes, and respond to webhook triggers from EZLynx.
What data can the agent read and write in my EZLynx account?
Read operations: Search Personal Applicants, Search Commercial Applicants, Search Prospects, Get Applicant Documents, Get Applicant Notes. Write operations: Create Personal Prospect, Create Commercial Prospect, Create Personal Applicant With Opportunity, Create Commercial Applicant With Opportunity, Update Personal Applicant, Update Commercial Applicant, Create Document, Create Note. Your API key's permission scope in EZLynx determines what is accessible — ensure the key is generated with read and write permissions for the data types you need.
Can I trigger an Actionist workflow when something changes in EZLynx?
Yes. EZLynx fires webhook events when records are created or modified, and Actionist listens for those events as triggers. Available triggers include New Applicant, Modified Applicant, New Commercial Applicant, Modified Commercial Applicant, New Commercial Prospect, Modified Commercial Prospect, New Document, Modified Document, New Note, New Opportunity, Modified Opportunity, New Prospect, and Modified Prospect. When EZLynx fires the webhook, your agent reacts within about a minute — no polling required.
How do I prevent duplicate applicant records from being created in EZLynx?
Before any Create action, configure your agent to call Search Personal Applicants or Search Commercial Applicants with the incoming lead's email address or business name. If the search returns a matching record, the agent updates the existing record instead of creating a new one. This deduplication check can be built into any lead-intake workflow — web forms, partner feeds, CRM imports — so EZLynx always has a clean, single record per applicant.
Can the agent create both the applicant and the opportunity at the same time?
Yes. The Create Personal Applicant With Opportunity and Create Commercial Applicant With Opportunity actions handle both in a single step — no need to create the applicant first and then add the opportunity separately. Use these actions when a prospect is ready to be quoted and you want the pipeline record to appear immediately on the producer's board without a second call.
What kinds of documents can I attach to an EZLynx applicant through Actionist?
The Create Document action accepts any file type that EZLynx supports for document storage — PDFs, Word documents, images, and spreadsheets are all common formats. Typical use cases include attaching signed ACORDs, carrier quote responses, loss runs, premium finance agreements, and e-signed coverage documents. The document appears in the EZLynx applicant record under the Documents tab as if it had been manually uploaded.
Will Actionist work with EZLynx's commercial and personal lines separately?
Yes. EZLynx treats personal and commercial lines as distinct record types, and Actionist exposes separate actions for each. Create Personal Prospect, Create Personal Applicant With Opportunity, Update Personal Applicant, and Search Personal Applicants cover the personal lines book. Create Commercial Prospect, Create Commercial Applicant With Opportunity, Update Commercial Applicant, and Search Commercial Applicants cover commercial accounts. Triggers are similarly split — New Commercial Applicant fires independently of New Applicant, so you can build line-of-business-specific workflows.
How fast do EZLynx triggers fire after a record changes?
EZLynx webhook events are delivered within about a minute of the record change — they are not real-time synchronous events. In practice, the agent will react to a new applicant, modified opportunity, or incoming document within about a minute of the change being saved in EZLynx. For time-sensitive workflows like inbound lead routing, this is fast enough for all practical agency use cases.
