  • Marketing
    30 min / week
Weekly buyer list manual export and import

Agent keeps buyer segments and affiliate lists current automatically

The marketing agent pulls weekly transaction data from Digistore24, segments buyers by product, and updates the email platform's lists — keeping every nurture segment accurate without a manual export.

  • Customer Support
    30 min / week
    Manual failed payment follow-up

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent detects and resolves failed payments automatically

The support agent checks rebilling status changes daily, enrols failed subscribers in a recovery sequence, and retries the payment after 48 hours — resolving most failures without a human involved.

  • Human Resources
    20 min / week
    Manual affiliate onboarding process

HR checks the Digistore24 affiliate approval list daily, copies affiliate details into the contractor database, sends a welcome email manually, and sets a calendar reminder — 20 minutes per new affiliate.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent onboards every new affiliate automatically on approval

When an affiliate is approved, the HR agent sends their welcome kit, creates their contractor record, adds their onboarding checklist, and schedules a 30-day activation follow-up — without any manual steps.

  • Finance
    45 min / week
    Manual weekly revenue reconciliation

Finance exports transaction CSVs from Digistore24 weekly, reformats them in Excel, categorises each line by product, and manually updates the P&L — 45 minutes each Monday, with frequent formula errors.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent reconciles revenue daily without manual exports

The finance agent runs List Transactions every morning, categorises revenue by product and type, and updates the P&L sheet automatically — finance has accurate figures before the leadership standup every day.

  • Operations
    60 min / week
    Manual order-to-access verification

Operations spot-checks a sample of recent orders against the LMS weekly, manually re-enrols buyers found without access, and investigates webhook failures — 60 minutes per week, still missing edge cases.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent ensures every paying buyer has access within minutes

The operations agent cross-references every order against LMS enrolment records weekly and re-triggers access for any buyer who paid but was not enrolled — preventing silent access failures.

  • Legal
    30 min / week
    Manual refund compliance logging

Legal exports refund reports from Digistore24 monthly, manually enters each refund into the compliance register with reason codes, and calculates refund rates per product — two hours per month, always behind.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent maintains a live refund compliance register automatically

The legal agent audits all refund transactions weekly, ensures each has a reason code in the compliance register, and flags high-refund-rate products for review — maintaining an audit-ready trail without manual effort.

How to plug Digistore24 into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

Connect with your Digistore24 API key — generated in Settings → Account Access. Read-only access is sufficient for triggers and data retrieval; enable write access if you need refund or rebilling actions.

1
Generate your Digistore24 API key

Log in to Digistore24, go to Settings → Account Access, and click API key. Generate a new key with read access (and write access if you need refund or rebilling actions).

2
Paste the key into Actionist

Copy the key and paste it into the API key field in Actionist. Treat it like a password — never share it in plain text or store it in a document.

3
Test the connection

Click Test connection. Actionist makes a read-only call to verify the key is valid before any agent tasks run.

FAQs

Questions about Digistore24 + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to Digistore24?
Go to the Apps tab in Actionist, find Digistore24, and click Connect. Select API key as the connection method. In your Digistore24 account, go to Settings → Account Access → API key and generate a key with read access. Paste it into Actionist and click Test connection. Actionist makes a read-only call to verify the key is valid before any agent tasks run. If you also need refund or rebilling write actions, set the key's scope to include write access in the same Account Access panel.
What events can trigger an Actionist agent from Digistore24?
Actionist supports three real Digistore24 webhook triggers: New Order Event (fires within about a minute of any purchase, upsell, rebill, or refund), New Affiliate Approved (fires when an affiliate application is approved for one of your products), and New Eticket Event (fires when an event ticket is created, updated, or scanned at the door). These are Digistore24's native webhook types — Actionist subscribes to them automatically when you connect your account.
Does the order trigger fire for upsells and recurring rebilling charges, or only initial purchases?
Yes. The New Order Event trigger fires on all transaction types that Digistore24 classifies as order events — initial purchases, upsell purchases, downsell purchases, order bumps, and recurring rebilling charges. Each payload includes a transaction type field so your agent can branch: welcome a first-time buyer differently from a successful rebill subscriber, or escalate a failed payment to a recovery sequence, without building separate workflows for each case.
What are the most common automation patterns businesses run with Digistore24 and Actionist?
The most common patterns are: (1) post-purchase onboarding — the New Order Event fires and the agent enrolls the buyer in a course, sends a personalised welcome email, and creates a CRM contact within about a minute; (2) affiliate nurturing — New Affiliate Approved fires and the agent sends the affiliate a welcome kit with their promotional links; (3) refund follow-up — order events with a refund transaction type trigger a recovery email sequence and access revocation in the LMS; (4) daily revenue reporting — List Transactions runs on a schedule to push revenue figures into a Google Sheets dashboard before the morning standup.
What is the difference between Digistore24 IPN and the Actionist trigger?
Digistore24 IPN (Instant Payment Notification) and the Actionist webhook trigger both receive real-time POST payloads from Digistore24, but they serve different purposes. IPN is a raw webhook you configure manually in Digistore24 Settings → Integrations (IPN) — it posts to your own server and you write the handler code. The Actionist New Order Event trigger is a managed wrapper: Actionist handles the subscription, parses the payload, and hands your agent structured data fields to act on without any code. Use Actionist when you want agent-driven automation; use raw IPN only if you need a custom server-side handler outside Actionist.
Can I connect multiple Digistore24 accounts to Actionist?
Yes, but each account needs its own connection. Digistore24's API key grants read and write access to the account it belongs to. If you manage separate vendor and affiliate accounts, generate a separate API key for each and create a separate Actionist connection per key. Actionist does not currently bundle multiple Digistore24 accounts into a single connection — each connection is scoped to one account's data.
What buyer and order data does Actionist receive from Digistore24?
Digistore24's API and webhook events expose order-level data including buyer name and email, product name and ID, order amount and currency, transaction type (purchase, rebill, refund), affiliate ID if applicable, and order date. Raw payment card details are not exposed — those remain with the payment processor. For affiliate-specific data, the New Affiliate Approved event includes the affiliate's account information and the product they were approved to promote.
Can Actionist automate refund handling inside Digistore24?
Actionist can act on refund events but cannot override Digistore24's internal refund policy or approval process — refund decisions live inside Digistore24. What you can automate: the New Order Event fires with a refund transaction type, and the agent can immediately revoke course access in your LMS, log the refund in the compliance register, send a win-back email sequence, and update the buyer's CRM status — all within about a minute of the refund being processed. The Refund Purchase and Refund Transaction actions let Actionist also initiate refunds programmatically when your support team approves one via a ticket or approval workflow.
