CapMonster Cloud is an automated captcha-solving service that exposes a simple JSON API: submit a task with the captcha type and site parameters, receive a solved token within seconds. It supports reCAPTCHA v2 and v3, Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha, GeeTest, DataDome, AWS WAF, image-to-text, and more. Batch scraping pipeline with automatic captcha solving

When a scraping batch is queued in Google Sheets, the agent submits reCAPTCHA v2 tasks for all captcha-gated URLs in parallel, collects solved tokens as they arrive, injects them into each respective request, and writes the scraped data back to the sheet. A completion summary is posted to Slack. The entire batch runs without human interaction.

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    20 min / week
Manual captcha solving for lead enrichment

Reps visit captcha-gated enrichment tools manually, solve the challenges by hand, copy the data, and paste it into the CRM — adding 3–5 minutes to every new lead that hits a challenge.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent solves captchas and unblocks lead enrichment automatically

When a new lead is added to HubSpot, the agent submits and retrieves a captcha token from CapMonster Cloud, accesses the enrichment source, and writes the full company profile to the deal record — all before the rep opens the contact.

  • Marketing
    60 min / week
Manual competitor research behind anti-bot pages

The marketing team manually navigates to competitor sites, solves or waits out Cloudflare challenges, copies pricing and positioning data by hand, and pastes it into the competitive-intelligence spreadsheet every week.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent runs competitor scrapes through anti-bot protection weekly

The marketing agent submits DataDome and Turnstile tasks for all competitor pages, collects tokens in parallel, and writes updated competitor data to Notion before the Monday planning meeting — with no human touching a browser.

  • Customer Support
    15 min / week
    Manual credit monitoring and recharge

The ops team checks the CapMonster Cloud dashboard manually, discovers depleted credits only when a pipeline fails, and then manually raises a recharge request and restarts affected pipelines.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent monitors credits and initiates recharge before pipelines fail

When the balance drops below the configured threshold, the agent posts an alert with the current balance and projected burn rate, creates a procurement task in Notion, and ensures non-critical pipelines are paused — all within about a minute of detection.

  • Human Resources
    75 min / week
    Manual job board data collection

HR team members visit each captcha-gated job board manually, solve challenges by hand, copy listing counts and salary data into a spreadsheet, and compile a talent market summary — taking over an hour each week.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent collects job board data through captcha-gated sources automatically

The HR agent solves reCAPTCHA v2 challenges on job boards, extracts listing counts and salary benchmarks, and writes a talent market summary to Google Sheets — every week, without any manual visits to the boards.

  • Finance
    30 min / week
Manual invoice retrieval from supplier portals

The AP team visits each supplier portal manually, solves the captcha challenge on login, downloads the invoice, uploads it to the document system, and updates the AP tracker — consuming 10+ minutes per supplier per week.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent retrieves invoices from captcha-protected supplier portals automatically

When a supplier invoice-portal entry appears in Notion, the finance agent solves the login captcha, downloads the invoice, saves it to Google Drive, and marks the task complete — without the AP team opening a browser.

  • Operations
    45 min / week
    Manual captcha infrastructure oversight

The ops team monitors the CapMonster Cloud dashboard manually, discovers issues only when pipelines fail, updates scraper user-agent strings per-pipeline by hand, and patches credit shortfalls reactively.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent maintains captcha infrastructure health across all pipelines

The operations agent checks API health, account balance, task queue depth, and browser fingerprint configuration every week and posts a status report — catching issues before they cause pipeline failures.

  • Legal
    40 min / week
Manual compliance auditing for automation targets

Legal reviews a list of all automated sites manually, checks each site's terms for automation clauses, and produces a compliance memo — a process that takes hours and is often skipped between formal audits.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent audits target sites for ToS compliance before pipelines run

The legal agent weekly verifies that every site targeted by captcha-solving pipelines has a current authorisation record, flags new ToS restrictions, and produces a compliance report for the audit trail — without legal counsel manually reviewing each pipeline.

FAQs

Questions about CapMonster Cloud + Actionist

How do I connect Actionist to CapMonster Cloud?
Go to the Apps tab, find CapMonster Cloud, and click Connect. Paste your API key from your CapMonster Cloud dashboard (https://capmonster.cloud/Dashboard) into the API key field. Actionist runs a getBalance call to confirm the key is valid and the connection is live before any captcha tasks are created.
Which captcha types does CapMonster Cloud support?
CapMonster Cloud supports all major captcha types through its API: reCAPTCHA v2, reCAPTCHA v3, reCAPTCHA Enterprise, Cloudflare Turnstile, hCaptcha, GeeTest v3 and v4, DataDome, AWS WAF, image-to-text (classic visual captchas), and several others. You select the task type when calling createTask. The documentation at docs.capmonster.cloud/docs/captchas lists every supported type with the exact parameters required.
How does the captcha-solving workflow actually work?
The core flow is a two-step poll: first call createTask with the captcha type and site parameters to receive a taskId, then call getTaskResult with that taskId until the status changes from 'processing' to 'ready'. Typical solve times range from under a second for image captchas to 5–30 seconds for browser-rendered types like reCAPTCHA v2. Actionist handles the polling loop so your agent just waits for the solved token before continuing the workflow.
How do I check my CapMonster Cloud account balance?
Use the getBalance method. It returns your current account balance in USD. When you connect Actionist to CapMonster Cloud, the agent can call getBalance on a schedule and alert your team via Slack if the balance drops below a threshold you define — preventing automation pipelines from failing silently because the account ran out of credits.
Do I need to provide proxies when using CapMonster Cloud?
CapMonster Cloud offers proxyless task types (e.g., RecaptchaV2TaskProxyless, TurnstileTaskProxyless) that use CapMonster's own infrastructure to load the challenge page — no proxy needed on your side. If your automation requires that requests appear to originate from a specific IP, you can supply proxy parameters in the task object and CapMonster will use your proxy when rendering the challenge. For most scraping and form-automation use cases, proxyless is the simpler and recommended option.
How is CapMonster Cloud priced, and am I charged for failed solves?
CapMonster Cloud charges per successfully solved captcha only — failed solves are not billed. Pricing varies by captcha type: image-to-text captchas are the cheapest (around $0.6 per 1,000), while browser-rendered types like reCAPTCHA v2 and Cloudflare Turnstile are priced higher. You can see current per-type pricing on the pricing page at capmonster.cloud. Volume bonuses of up to 15% are applied automatically to your balance as you scale.
What happens if CapMonster Cloud returns a wrong captcha solution?
Yes. The reportIncorrectImageCaptcha and reportIncorrectRecaptcha methods let you flag a solved token that failed when submitted to the target site. Reporting incorrect solutions helps improve solve quality over time and may result in a refund credit for that task, depending on the captcha type. For automated pipelines, Actionist can call the report method whenever a form submission returns a captcha-rejection response, creating a feedback loop that improves accuracy without manual intervention.
What are the legitimate use cases for automating captcha solving?
CapMonster Cloud is purpose-built for use cases that involve interacting with your own systems or services you are authorised to test: automated QA pipelines that need to complete forms, scraping data from sites where you have authorisation, lead generation tools, account management workflows, and accessibility tooling for users who cannot solve visual captchas. The service terms prohibit use for unauthorized access. Always verify you have the right to automate the target site before running captcha-solving workflows.
