Automate recruiting pipelines and move candidates faster

CommunicationProductivityHRSchedulingAutomation

Breezy HR is a cloud-based applicant tracking system and recruiting platform that streamlines the full hiring lifecycle — from posting jobs and sourcing candidates to scheduling interviews, collecting scorecards, and closing positions. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can add candidates from any source, advance pipeline stages on hiring decisions, post structured interview notes, retrieve custom field data for reporting, and trigger downstream tasks in your HRIS, calendar, and project tools — all without a recruiter touching the ATS between steps.

New applicant screened and staged within minutes of applying

Within about a minute of a candidate applying, the agent retrieves their resume, checks it against the role's qualification criteria, posts a structured match-score note to the candidate record, advances qualifying candidates to Phone Screen, and alerts the recruiting team in Slack — recruiters open Breezy HR to a pre-sorted pipeline rather than a raw applicant inbox.

Connect

How to plug Breezy HR into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

The recommended path. Connect via OAuth and the agent gains access to your positions, candidates, and scorecards through a permissioned handshake — no API tokens to copy or rotate.

1
Open the Apps tab

Find Breezy HR in the Actionist Apps library and click Connect. OAuth is selected by default.

2
Authorise in Breezy HR

A Breezy HR authorisation window opens. Sign in and grant Actionist permission to read and write your positions and candidates. The handshake completes in under 10 seconds.

FAQs

Questions about Breezy HR + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to Breezy HR?
In the Actionist Apps tab, find Breezy HR and click Connect. The recommended path is OAuth — Actionist opens a Breezy HR authorisation window where you sign in and grant permission. Breezy HR uses token-based authentication; once the OAuth handshake completes, Actionist stores the access token and runs a test call to confirm the connection before any agent tasks run. If you prefer manual setup, you can authenticate via the API by generating credentials in your Breezy HR account and pasting them into the relevant fields.
What Breezy HR permissions does the agent need?
For read operations (listing positions, fetching candidates, retrieving scorecards) the agent needs read access to your Breezy HR company. For write operations (adding candidates, updating stages, posting notes, creating positions) it needs write access as well. The OAuth flow requests both scopes together. Breezy HR uses company-scoped tokens, so the connecting user should have admin or at minimum recruiter-level permissions to allow the agent to operate across all open positions.
Can I combine Breezy HR with other apps in the same workflow?
Yes. Breezy HR is most useful when paired with the systems where hiring context already lives. Common combinations: push new candidates from a LinkedIn sourcing sheet; move a candidate to the Interview stage when an interview is confirmed in Google Calendar; post a hiring-team note to Slack when a candidate advances; sync offer data back to your HRIS when a position closes. Any of Actionist's 200+ connected apps can share context with Breezy HR in the same agent task.
What are the most common things agents do with Breezy HR?
The four patterns that come up most: (1) candidate routing — an agent checks each new applicant's qualifications and moves them to the right pipeline stage within about a minute of application; (2) interview scheduling — coordinating calendar availability and dropping a note on the candidate record when an interview is confirmed; (3) hiring digest — weekly summaries of open positions and pipeline velocity posted to the recruiting team's Slack channel; (4) offer pipeline — pushing a candidate to the Offer stage and creating a checklist task in a project tool when an offer is approved.
How quickly do Breezy HR triggers fire in Actionist?
Breezy HR webhooks fire within about a minute of the underlying event. candidateAdded fires when a new applicant enters any position; candidateStatusUpdated fires when a candidate's pipeline stage changes. These events are delivered as POST requests to your configured endpoint. You register webhook endpoints through Actionist's connection settings or directly via the Breezy HR Webhook Management API. Note: the candidateStatusUpdated event does not fire when a candidate first enters the system — only on subsequent stage changes.
Can the agent move candidates between pipeline stages automatically?
Yes. The Update Candidate Stage action calls the Breezy HR PATCH endpoint for a specific candidate and position, moving the candidate to the stage you specify by name or ID. The agent can do this automatically — for example, moving all candidates who pass an initial resume screen to the Phone Screen stage, or advancing a candidate to Offer when an approval is recorded elsewhere. Stage names must match exactly what is configured in your Breezy HR pipeline.
How do I add interview notes to a candidate record from an agent?
The Add Note to Candidate action posts a message to the candidate's discussion stream in Breezy HR, visible to all collaborators on that position. You can include structured summaries — interview feedback, sourcing context, reference call notes — formatted as plain text. This is distinct from scorecards, which are structured evaluation forms. Use notes for free-form commentary and the Update Candidate Scorecard action for structured ratings against position criteria.
Does Actionist support multiple Breezy HR company accounts?
Breezy HR connects via OAuth (the recommended path) or via API token authentication. The connection is company-scoped — one connection covers all positions and candidates in your Breezy HR company account. If your organisation uses multiple Breezy HR company accounts, you will need a separate Actionist connection per company. Actionist does not currently support multi-company routing from a single connection.
