EmailCommunicationDeveloperSecurityAutomationCloud & Infrastructure

Atriomail is a white-label email hosting platform built for resellers, hosting providers, and IT agencies — providing managed email infrastructure with automated DNS setup, usage-based billing, and a comprehensive API for domain, mailbox, forwarder, and catch-all management. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can provision client email infrastructure at deal close, automate mailbox lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, audit forwarder and catch-all accuracy across your entire managed estate, and fulfill data-deletion requests with a complete pre-deletion audit trail — all without logging into the Atriomail dashboard.

Zero-touch client email provisioning at deal close

When a deal closes in HubSpot, the agent provisions the client domain in Atriomail, waits for DNS validation, creates all contracted mailboxes, and posts a provisioning summary to Slack — all before the account manager sends the welcome email. Manual provisioning that took 30 minutes per client is fully automated.

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    30 min / week
    Manual provisioning on client request

After a deal closes, someone manually logs into Atriomail, creates the domain, waits for DNS validation, and provisions each mailbox one by one — a 30-minute task done on a delayed timeline.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent provisions client email at deal close

When a deal closes in HubSpot, the agent creates the client domain, validates DNS, and provisions all contracted mailboxes before the welcome email is sent — no ticket, no wait.

  • Marketing
    25 min / week
Manual campaign domain and catch-all management

The ops or marketing team manually creates campaign domains, sets up catch-alls, and either forgets to clean them up or spends time retiring dormant infrastructure after each campaign.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent provisions and retires campaign email infrastructure automatically

The agent creates campaign domains, configures catch-all routing for inbound replies, and cleans up all infrastructure when the campaign closes — without a dashboard login.

  • Customer Support
    20 min / week
    Manual ticket-by-ticket provisioning

Support staff log into Atriomail for each provisioning ticket, make the change, then return to the helpdesk to close the ticket — a context switch that adds minutes to every routine request.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent processes provisioning tickets in batch automatically

The support agent reads open provisioning tickets, creates or updates mailboxes and forwarders, and closes tickets with a confirmation message — without a human opening the Atriomail dashboard.

  • Human Resources
    15 min / week
    Manual email provisioning and offboarding

HR submits provisioning requests to IT on hire, and chase offboarding email deletion separately — delays are common and ghost mailboxes accumulate for departing employees.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent syncs mailbox lifecycle with HR system automatically

Mailboxes are created when new hires are added to the HR system and deleted after the offboarding handover period ends — the entire email lifecycle is automated without HR raising a ticket.

  • Finance
    60 min / week
    Manual billing headcount check

Finance manually logs into Atriomail to count mailboxes per client, cross-references against billing records in a spreadsheet, and often catches discrepancies only after an invoice dispute.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent reconciles mailbox headcount against billing monthly

At month end, the agent counts active mailboxes for every client domain and flags any with headcounts above their contracted seat count — revenue leakage caught before invoices go out.

  • Operations
    45 min / week
    Manual infrastructure audit

Operations teams run ad-hoc checks when clients report problems, rarely catching DNS or forwarder issues proactively — leading to reactive support rather than prevention.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent audits DNS health, forwarders, and catch-alls weekly

The operations agent runs a weekly sweep of all managed domains — checking DNS validation, forwarder accuracy, and catch-all configuration — and posts a prioritised remediation list before any client notices a problem.

  • Legal
    20 min / week
    Manual GDPR email deletion

Legal or IT manually logs into Atriomail to find and delete the subject's mailboxes and forwarders, then separately documents the action in a spreadsheet — a time-consuming process prone to incomplete documentation.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent fulfills data-deletion requests with pre-deletion audit trail

When a deletion request arrives, the agent documents all email resources before deleting them, then logs each deletion with the request reference and legal basis — compliance is built into the workflow.

FAQs

Questions about Atriomail + Actionist

How do I connect Actionist to Atriomail?
Go to the Apps tab, find Atriomail, and click Connect. Atriomail uses API key authentication — navigate to your Atriomail reseller dashboard, generate an API key from the API settings section, then paste it into the Actionist connection dialog. Actionist runs a test call to verify the key before saving.
What permissions does the Actionist agent need on my Atriomail account?
The API key you generate from the Atriomail reseller dashboard inherits the permissions of the account that created it. For full automation — creating domains, provisioning mailboxes, managing forwarders, and configuring catch-all rules — you need an account with reseller-level access. Read-only operations like listing mailboxes or getting domain status work with any valid key, but write operations require a reseller or admin role.
Can I use Atriomail with other apps in the same Actionist workflow?
Yes — Atriomail is most powerful when paired with apps where provisioning events originate. Common combinations: create mailboxes in Atriomail when a new customer record appears in your CRM or billing system; post provisioning confirmations to Slack; log domain status updates to Google Sheets; trigger offboarding flows when a user is deactivated in your HR system. Any of Actionist's connected apps can send or receive data alongside Atriomail in the same agent task.
What are the most common things agents do with Atriomail?
The four patterns that come up most in reseller and agency contexts: (1) automated onboarding — create a domain and provision all standard mailboxes the moment a new client is added to your billing system; (2) offboarding — delete or suspend mailboxes when a client churns, keeping your infrastructure clean; (3) forwarder management — create or update email forwarders in bulk when a client reorganises their team; (4) catch-all auditing — list domains whose catch-all setting doesn't match the client's stated policy and flag them for review.
Does Atriomail's API support white-label operations?
Atriomail is a white-label platform, meaning your clients never see the Atriomail brand. When you provision mailboxes via the API through Actionist, users interact with the email service under your brand identity. The Actionist agent can automate the provisioning and management layer (domain creation, mailbox setup, forwarder configuration) while the end-user experience remains fully branded to you.
Can Actionist help me verify DNS setup for new domains?
Yes. Atriomail's platform integrates with 14+ DNS providers, and the API exposes domain status checks that include DNS validation state. An Actionist agent can call Get Domain to check whether DNS is correctly propagated after a new domain is added, then post an alert if validation hasn't completed within the expected window — removing the manual step of logging into the dashboard to confirm setup is complete.
Can I automate mailbox quota changes in Atriomail?
Use the Update Mailbox action to change quota limits on existing mailboxes — for example, automatically increasing storage when a client upgrades their plan in your billing system, or applying a tighter quota across all mailboxes on a domain that's over its aggregate limit. The agent can read the current quota via Get Mailbox and compare it against your provisioning rules before deciding whether to update.
What happens when I delete a domain — are mailboxes also removed?
When you call Delete Domain, Atriomail removes the domain and all associated mailboxes and forwarders from your account. This is irreversible, so Actionist's best practice is to use an Approval Mode step before executing the delete — a human confirms the action in Telegram or Slack before the agent proceeds. If you need a softer approach, use Get Many Mailboxes to list and verify all resources under the domain before deletion, and log the inventory to Google Sheets as an audit record.
