Turn your business data into structured, automated workflows without writing a line of code

ProductivityProjectsDatabaseFormsAutomationNo-Code

ApptiveGrid is a no-code platform that turns databases, forms, and workflows into a single visual workspace — combining the feel of a spreadsheet with the power of a structured database. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can create and update entries across any grid, generate pre-filled form links for structured data collection, search records before writing to prevent duplicates, and pull filtered views to drive precise automation — all without writing a line of code. Built and hosted in Germany, ApptiveGrid is GDPR-compliant by design.

Eliminates manual work. Agents eliminate the repetitive cycle of manually logging data into ApptiveGrid grids, creating and distributing form links by hand, and chasing status updates that the grid already holds.

Google Forms submission lands in ApptiveGrid and HubSpot simultaneously

When a prospect submits the website contact form, the agent deduplicates against the Leads grid, creates a new structured entry with all form fields mapped to the correct columns, pushes the same data into HubSpot, and posts a Slack notification to the sales team. The rep has a CRM record and an ApptiveGrid visual row within about a minute of the form submission — no copy-pasting required.

Support agents manually read each incoming email, decide its priority, and add a new row to the ApptiveGrid Tickets grid before they can begin working the issue.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent creates a structured ticket entry from every inbound email

How to plug ApptiveGrid into Actionist

Pick the connection method that suits your environment.

Connect with a Bearer token generated in your ApptiveGrid account settings. The token grants access to all grids and forms the generating user can see.

1
Generate a Bearer token

Log in to ApptiveGrid, go to Account Settings, and navigate to the API section. Generate a new Bearer token. Treat it like a password and store it in a secrets manager.

2
Paste into Actionist

Copy the token and paste it into the Bearer token field in Actionist.

3
Test the connection

Actionist runs a test read call (List grids) to verify the token is valid. You are ready.

FAQs

Questions about ApptiveGrid + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to ApptiveGrid?
Go to the Apps tab, find ApptiveGrid, and click Connect. The recommended path is API key — navigate to your ApptiveGrid account settings, generate a Bearer token, and paste it into the API token field. Actionist then runs a test read call to verify the connection before any actions proceed.
What permissions does the agent need on my ApptiveGrid account?
For read operations (Get entry, List entries, Get grid, List grids) the agent needs a valid Bearer token with read access to your ApptiveGrid space. For write operations (Create entry, Update entry, Delete entry, Create form link) it needs the same token — there is no separate write-only scope. The token inherits the permissions of the ApptiveGrid user who generated it, so use a dedicated integration user with only the spaces it needs.
Can I connect ApptiveGrid to other apps in the same agent task?
Yes. ApptiveGrid is most powerful when paired with the tools where data originates or needs to land. Common pairings: create entries from new Google Forms submissions; sync updated entries to Google Sheets rows; post a Slack message when a new entry appears in a grid view; push form responses from ApptiveGrid into HubSpot contacts. Any of Actionist's 200+ connected apps can send or receive data alongside ApptiveGrid in the same agent task.
What are the most common things agents do with ApptiveGrid?
The four patterns that come up most often: (1) data collection — embedding an ApptiveGrid form on a website or sharing it via QR code and having the agent route new submissions into a CRM or notification channel; (2) status tracking — updating an entry's status field when a downstream event fires (e.g. payment confirmed, ticket closed); (3) database synchronisation — writing rows from external tools into an ApptiveGrid grid so the team has one visual source of truth; (4) report generation — reading grid data on a schedule and pushing a formatted summary to Slack or a Google Sheet.
Does Actionist support ApptiveGrid's Kanban, calendar, and map views?
ApptiveGrid supports multiple view types per grid: a standard grid (spreadsheet) view, Kanban board, calendar, and map. When you connect via Actionist, the agent reads from and writes to the underlying grid regardless of which view you use in the app. You can filter entries by a specific view using the List entries by view action, which respects the view's filter and sort settings — useful for scoping an agent to only the records visible in a team's curated Kanban column or calendar date range.
Can the agent generate pre-filled ApptiveGrid form links?
Yes. The Create form link action generates a shareable URL pointing to a specific ApptiveGrid form, optionally pre-filled with field values you supply. You can use this in outbound workflows — for example, when a new contact is created in your CRM, the agent creates a personalised ApptiveGrid form link for that contact and sends it by email. The form data flows back into the connected grid automatically when the recipient submits it.
Is ApptiveGrid GDPR-compliant and where is data stored?
ApptiveGrid is developed and hosted in Germany and is GDPR-compliant by design. Data stored in your grids does not leave the EU. When you connect Actionist, the agent accesses your grid data via the ApptiveGrid API using your own Bearer token — Actionist acts as an authorised API client on your behalf and does not persist your grid contents independently. You retain full ownership and control of the data in your ApptiveGrid account.
How close to real-time are ApptiveGrid entry triggers?
ApptiveGrid does not expose native real-time webhooks for arbitrary entry events through a simple toggle. The New entry in grid and Entry updated in grid triggers available via automation platforms work by polling the grid at an interval — within about a minute of the event occurring. For workflows that need very low latency (under 10 seconds), the recommended pattern is to post directly to a webhook endpoint from an ApptiveGrid automation or form submission hook, which ApptiveGrid does support via its built-in workflow editor.
