How does Actionist connect to Alphamoon?
Go to the Apps tab in Actionist, find Alphamoon, and click Connect. Enter your Alphamoon API key — you can generate one from the Alphamoon Workspace under Settings → API Access. Actionist stores the key securely and runs a test call to confirm the connection is live before any document processing begins.
What Alphamoon plan do I need to use the API with Actionist?
You need an active Alphamoon account on the Starter plan or above to use the API. The API key is generated from within your Alphamoon Workspace. Free-trial accounts have limited API access — check Alphamoon's documentation for the exact call limits per plan before setting up high-volume scheduled agent tasks.

How accurate is Alphamoon's data extraction, and what happens when confidence is low?
Alphamoon's extraction accuracy can reach up to 98% for clean documents. For lower-quality scans the platform applies AI OCR pre-processing before extraction. The Human-in-the-Loop feature lets you configure confidence thresholds — documents below a threshold are flagged for human review and edit inside the Alphamoon Workspace before the data is accepted. Actionist agents can be configured to route low-confidence results to a review queue in your task manager rather than forwarding them directly to downstream systems.
I heard Alphamoon was acquired — is the API still available?
Alphamoon was acquired by Box in August 2024, and its core technology now underpins Box Extract. The alphamoon.ai Workspace remains available to existing customers under their active plans. If you are evaluating Alphamoon for a new integration, confirm current availability and plan options directly with Box or at alphamoon.ai before building production agent scheduled tasks against the API.
Does Alphamoon automatically classify documents, or do I have to specify the type before uploading?
Alphamoon classifies documents using the content and layout of the uploaded file — you do not need to pre-label each document. The classification model identifies the document type (invoice, PO, ID, receipt, etc.) and routes it to the correct extraction template automatically. For multi-document PDFs the platform can also split pages by detected document type before extracting each section separately. Actionist agents can use the classification result to branch a workflow — for example, routing invoices to accounts payable and IDs to the onboarding pipeline.
