CommunicationProductivityDocumentsDeveloperAIAutomation

3Scribe is an automated speech-to-text platform built for accuracy-critical workflows — transcribing audio and video recordings into structured text with word-level timestamps, confidence scores, and speaker attribution across 21 languages. Connect it to Actionist and your agents can submit recordings for transcription the moment they land, retrieve completed transcripts to extract action items or compliance keywords, quality-gate documents before they reach legal or publication, and delete source files automatically when retention windows close — all without a human re-listening to a single call.

Sales call transcribed and logged to CRM before the rep closes their laptop

When a new call recording lands in the Sales Recordings folder on Google Drive, the agent submits it to 3Scribe and retrieves the transcript within about a minute of completion. The full transcript is written as a call note to the matching HubSpot contact, and any action items are posted directly to the rep's Slack — zero manual note-taking required.

Savings

What your team gets back — two angles: what you stop doing manually, and what that's worth.

Without Actionist

What you do manually today

With Actionist

What your agent runs for you

  • Sales
    90 min / week
    Manual call note-taking and logging

Reps pause the call to take notes, re-listen to recordings after to catch missed items, and manually type call summaries into the CRM — typically 15-20 minutes per call.

    Sales Agent
    0 min
Agent transcribes, extracts, and logs call notes automatically

When a sales recording lands in Drive, the agent submits it to 3Scribe, extracts action items from the completed transcript, and writes a structured call note to the CRM deal — all before the rep's next meeting.

  • Marketing
    180 min / week
Manual transcript creation and content repurposing

Content teams either transcribe recordings by hand or pay a transcription service, then manually extract quotes and restructure the content into blog posts and social assets — a half-day process per episode.

    Marketing Agent
    0 min
Agent converts recordings to content drafts in under an hour

Podcast episodes and webinar recordings are submitted to 3Scribe automatically, and completed transcripts are turned into blog post drafts and social quotes without a content team member manually transcribing or summarizing.

  • Customer Support
    60 min / week
Manual call review and feedback compilation

Support managers re-listen to a sample of calls, manually note complaint phrases, and compile a weekly feedback summary — covering only a fraction of total call volume due to time constraints.

    Customer Support Agent
    0 min
Agent surfaces customer verbatim quotes in the feedback report automatically

Support call recordings are transcribed and scanned for complaint keywords within about a minute of upload, with verbatim customer quotes appended to the weekly Voice of Customer report without a human re-listening.

  • Human Resources
    45 min / week
    Manual interview note compilation

HR coordinators collect paper or typed notes from each panelist, consolidate them into a debrief document, and chase late submissions — a process that typically delays debrief by 24-48 hours after the interview.

    Human Resources Agent
    0 min
Agent files speaker-attributed interview transcripts before the debrief starts

Interview recordings are transcribed with speaker labels automatically and per-panelist contribution metrics are calculated and filed in the ATS candidate record before the debrief meeting.

  • Finance
    30 min / week
Manual earnings call review and quote extraction

Finance teams re-listen to earnings calls and manually note guidance statements, then cross-reference against written minutes — a process prone to transcription errors and difficult to audit.

    Finance Agent
    0 min
Agent archives verbatim financial guidance with timestamps automatically

Earnings call and board meeting recordings are transcribed and financial guidance statements are extracted and archived with timestamps — creating a verified verbatim record for SEC filing preparation without manual transcript review.

  • Operations
    80 min / week
Manual meeting notes and action item distribution

An ops team member takes notes live, writes up a summary after, and emails or Slacks the action items — a process that takes 20-40 minutes per meeting and is frequently delayed by higher-priority work.

    Operations Agent
    0 min
Agent posts action items to Slack before the call attendees log off

When a standup or retro recording is submitted, the agent extracts action items with owner attribution and posts them to the team Slack channel within about a minute of the transcript completing — no follow-up email or manual notes needed.

  • Legal
    40 min / week
    Outsourced or manual deposition transcription

Legal teams send recordings to a transcription vendor, wait 24-72 hours for delivery, review the transcript for accuracy, and manually file the document — a slow, expensive process that delays matter preparation.

    Legal Agent
    0 min
Agent produces a verified, timestamped deposition transcript automatically

Deposition recordings are submitted securely via pre-signed URL, transcribed with speaker labels and word-level timestamps, quality-gated for confidence, and filed in the matter management system — in a fraction of the time a human transcription service requires.

FAQs

Questions about 3Scribe + Actionist

How does Actionist connect to 3Scribe?
Go to the Apps tab in Actionist, find 3Scribe, and click Connect. Paste your 3Scribe API key (found at 3scri.be/apikey) into the API key field. Actionist sends a test call to the /jobs endpoint to confirm the handshake before any transcription actions run. The key is stored encrypted and never logged.
Where do I find my 3Scribe API key?
Log in to 3scri.be, navigate to your account settings, and open the API key page at 3scri.be/apikey. Copy the key and paste it into Actionist's 3Scribe connection screen. The key is passed in the APIKey request header (case-sensitive) on every API call. There is currently one key per account — if you need to revoke access, generate a new key in 3Scribe and update it in Actionist.
What languages does 3Scribe support for transcription?
3Scribe supports 21 languages for automated transcription: English (US and British variants), Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (US and Castilian), Swedish, and Turkish. You can either specify the language code when submitting a job or enable auto-detection via the detectlanguage parameter and 3Scribe will identify the spoken language automatically.
How do I submit audio files to 3Scribe through Actionist?
When you submit a transcription job via the Create a Transcription Job action, you can provide the media file in two ways: supply a public URL pointing directly to the audio or video file (the most common path for cloud-stored recordings), or request a pre-signed AWS S3 upload URL from 3Scribe and POST the file bytes to it. The pre-signed URL path is best for private files that are not accessible from the public internet.
Can I get word-level timestamps and speaker labels from 3Scribe transcripts?
Yes. The Get a Transcript action returns the full transcription text plus rich word-level metadata: each word's start and end timestamp, confidence score, and speaker label (when speaker identification is enabled). Your agent can parse the JSON and pass the full transcript text to a summarization step, extract speaker segments for individual review, or flag low-confidence sections for human editing — all in a single automated workflow.
How do I know when a 3Scribe transcription job has finished?
The Get a Transcript action returns a jobstatus field that cycles through: Requested (queued), Processing (actively transcribing), Completed (transcript ready), Inactive, and Error. For automated workflows you can schedule the Get a Transcript action to poll on a cadence and branch on status: proceed when Completed, retry when Processing, and alert via Slack when Error appears so a human can investigate.
How do I delete a transcription job and its media file from 3Scribe?
Use the Delete a Transcription Job action. This permanently removes the job record and any associated audio or video files from 3Scribe's system. It is irreversible, so it is best to use it only after you have confirmed the transcript has been saved to your intended destination (Google Docs, Notion, your CRM, etc.). For compliance use-cases, run a Get a Transcript action first to archive the output before calling Delete.
Can I retrieve a list of all my transcription jobs and bulk export transcripts?
Use the List Transcription Jobs action, which returns paginated results you can filter by status, sort by date or duration, and page through with configurable page sizes (10, 25, 50, or 100 records). Your agent can read the full job list on a schedule, identify all jobs with a Completed status that have not yet been exported, pull each transcript with Get a Transcript, write it to your target system, and then delete the source job from 3Scribe once archiving is confirmed.
